My facepainting partner is a very busy woman... she works full time and is about to start school again, but I'm ready to take the biz forward. So, I propsed that I make my own biz, and we can still work together when larger festivals come around and she is available. She keeps the old biz and can move forward with it should she ever want to.

So I'm pretty excited.... and since I'd been thinking on it a while, I'm ready for my website debut. My gallery isn't up yet, but the basics are there.

Critiques and suggests are MORE than welcome!

Just a few thoughts from me...

Great background.

First page... Gorgeous. I would however take the guy off of the bottom in the body painting section..... At least the pic on the far right. I have a lot of kids looking at my site and I don't think I would be comfortable with them seeing that. (just my opinion.) It is set up beautifully.

Second page.... I think it is great. I would kind of make the 'About face paint' stand out a little bit though.

Thrid page.... Great.

Overall great Smile

dittos for the body paint pics.. you should at least put them behind a link jump or something.. you can still see a lot of skin in those..

I had wondered about the body painting content myself. I still want a bodypaint section on the front page... but lack the portfolio to choose from to have images that are less..... bootilicious so to speak!

I loved your site! Bout time! The only thing missing are more photos of your awesome work!

Photo cropping does wonders for the body art you want on the front page. Just move the full photos to a Body Art page.

I will mention the same thing my business manager said about my site. "Customers looking at your site know NOTHING about Face painting, so treat your site & photo descriptions that way. "

Your News page doesn't go into FP competition or catagories. The fabulous avatar photo you used for the necklace would look great there, too. If you can get permission, the whole Brush Strokes article would be a wonderful addition.

Websites are constantly evolving and I'm so looking forward to seeing more of your photos on the site! What a FABULOUS beginning for your site!
Wishing you total success,
Susan

I tried to think of the site as a resume, which is why I put myself in it so much.

All my images are set at 72 dpi, so someone copying for personal use on their computer would be fine, but to print out normal size would look terrible. But I did like the idea of adding a watermark, so I'm gonna work on that and then make my gallery visible.

You guys are the first to see it... I have some tweeking to do, and then I guess the next step is business cards and promotion. I love the feedback... thanks everyone!
