I'm wondering if it might be smarter to get an agent.

an agent or talent booking site can be a big help if you can trust them. I ran a booking agency for 7 years. the problem is that your not the number one priority for them. they have a full stable to draw from. booking your self is by far the best way to go. look at what everyone else is doing then add benefits to your package. the more you can offer to increase the value the more you will get booked.

lol we should set up a weekly or monthly marketing chat.

I just thought I needed to clarify. I guess the picture that I posted was the one that I use to practice from. I also posted one that I have done. Unfortunately, none of the pictures are showing up on my computer right now. I actually thought it was a different flame picture that I did recently. Sorry for any confusion. I'm not looking to steal credit from anyone, and don't claim that any design is my original idea if it is not, but I do use the great art of others to practice building my own skill. Sorry if any offense was taken.

Stephanie, no need to explain-I figured that out immediately, that's why I posted it with your version. I don't think anyone was offended, just confused by the stencilling/handdrawn thing. you had mentioned the picture posting problem, so I just worked backwards Smile

frankly, if you're going to get inspiration from other people's art, always get the best you can Smile you picked a great mask and it's still pretty good to have copied by hand without stencils or other tools.

magic mike, LET'S DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the thing I don't get is the benefits....you said somewhere else something about not being a jack of all trades.....but if we increase benefits, isn't that being a jack of all trades?

I recently learned a few cool magic tricks-you know, like the coin behind the ear trick, or the disappearing pencil!

I get that we aren't the agents main interest, but when you ran your agency, what advice do you have for someone like myself to get any success with an agent? and what are red flags I should know to make sure I'm not with a bad agency?
