A Swampy mess! Empty A Swampy mess!

Post by Lacey's Faces Mon Jul 01, 2013 2:38 pm

Just thought i would share my experience i had yesterday working a gig.
The client booked me for 2 hours. I show up to this adorable house they even had a Koi pond INSIDE lol.
They show me where they would like me to set up. Kids start showing up and i start painting, about 20 mins into painting they turn on the sprinklers about 10 feet form me so the little ones could cool off. It was 108 outside. All fine and dandy well, I was apparently on the lower side of the lawn because all of a sudden i feel my feet get cold, look down and water is forming at my feet. I quickly take my shoes off and put them on my bag and place my bag farther away *thankfully i did*. Well by the time the party was over i was standing in the biggest messy swampy mud puddle i ever saw. I'm not kidding when i say i had mud to my knees.... On the positive side it did cool me down in the insane heat lol. Down side is i used all my extra water to clean me off as much as possible before i had to get in the car lol.
I had to run home and plop my feet in the tub to finish cleaning off, it was everywhere! LOL

Good times.

Sprinklers and face paint? Sounds as good as water balloons and face paint!Laughing

Yea it was an interesting party that's for sure. I also had one mom get soo mad at me because i wouldn't paint her 1 year old daughter. I apologized to her like 4 times saying my insurance will not allow me to paint anyone under 2 and that i'm a small business and i cant afford to loose my insurance. She finally yelled at me and said "Fine my daughter will be the only one not painted and will feel left out!" All i could think was she was 1 and had no clue even what she was missing out on lol. Oh well.
