Bought a guitar case Empty Bought a guitar case

Post by ninaschau Thu Apr 18, 2013 9:51 pm

Hi everyone,
So after much thinking back and forth between the guitar case, and the fatmax, I decided to buy the guitar case. I'm really excited to get it set up, I have to pull out some of the insides, and fasten some elastic a to the lid etc.
I'll dec post pictures when I'm done

Sounds like a great idea....as long as you can anchor all your products so they don't jangle around the case when you carry it!

Your going to love the guitar case! I've had my setup for a few months and can not do without it. Set up takes about 3mins.
Take a look at FB https://www.facebook.com/groups/276444789137318/
Many case kits showing lot of different ideas. David Southworth I think was the first to start this craze.
Here's mine but I have now attached wheels and a keyboard stand.

I would think it would be much lighter than a fat max...i have not used my fat max since last year, but I do store all my paints and stuff in there...I use a small suitcase with wheels to my restraunt gigs and parties.

Just weighed my kit at 20kg which also includes the 3 step ladder I use for the child to sit on. I only have to lift it into/out of the rear of my car after that it rolls along nicely.

Did you just apply a velcro strip to the top? Then attached velcro to glitter? I love love love that idea. This is giving me ideas for mine. Someone added a small shelf. You guys are so clever.

Nina, this is genius! I love how you store the gems (I have a gem problem) and glitter gel. I'm hinting about a guitar case for my birthday next month.

I tried it out for an all day class this week and found that I needed to reinforce the Velcro with some short staples. The back Velcro was slipping , now it stays in place
Thanks Jenny. I'm happy with it now, actually I'm thrilled with it Smile
This weekend I get to take it to two gigs and we will see

Did you use a staple gun? to secure the Velcro strips? How do you store your brushes?

Yes. A staple gun to secure the Velcro that is already sticky. The brushes are in a uphill brand brusholder which is also velcroed

well here is the starting to my case...its not a guitar case but I think its a rifle case. It has foam that can be removed, so I don't have to gut the case...here are a few pic...I have not used it yet..still working on how I want to arrange it.
