Does anyone have any color recommendations for the FAB? I am thinking about trying some but I don't know much about them. Also wondering if they are creamy or waxy? I work with Diamond FX now and I love it.... Thanks in advance! Very Happy

Creamy! There are other threads on fab, maybe under product review. Their silver is the best per reviews. I have plum, glitter gold, silver, ziva blue & magenta shimmer, I love them all. I really want ocean shimmer too!

Ok I found another thread on this to and I think my list so far is...I had all the colors you mentioned except plum (which I added). I went with gold shimmer instead of the glitter gold though. I think Suzy said the glitter gets embedded in her sponges....And Magenta Shimmer was OOS Sad it looks really pretty to!

Silver
Gold Shimmer
White Shimmer
London Sky Shimmer
Plum
Lemon Yellow
Purple Shimmer
Princess Shimmer
Ziva Blue Shimmer
Ocean Shimmer

Are there any I should swap, take off or add? Also, do these repot easily?

I really love your avatar to Rebons, I have been meaning to tell you that! It is so simple yet so well done! And your daughter is a very beautiful young lady... Smile I hope mine continue to let me paint them. My girls are 11 and 8. My 4yr old boy is already getting burnt out on it I think lol.

Got some FAB and they are super creamy, better for sponging than brushing. I made a fabulous face from the Ziva and Magenta Shimmer but the Magenta stains "like a mother" as I said to my DIL. Like...can't come off with oil stain. Now what? It is SOOO gorgeous and blends beautifully with the Ziva Blue and now my eyes are pink...so pink that it turned my white Starblend eyes pink after two washing and oil removal. Ziva blue doesn't stain at all ironically.

I'm glad I tested it because the first design I did with it would have probably been a pink full-faced kitty. I already miss the possibilities...the shimmer/color changing aspects are fab-ulous.

The paints I got smell more like oil clay with a hint of cinnamon. Smile I did smell some older ones and it was a lot stronger than I thought it would be.

Only the older ones smell as I understand it - that's certainly the case with Superstar, which is what FAB is called in Europe where it's made. They're phasing out the smelly formula. Very Happy

The new stuff has no discernable smell, to me.

The newer FAB still has a slight scent, which I find quite pleasant.

FAB has really lovely colors and the staple colors are great. RAGE is the best red - even better than Snaz red, in my opinion. FAB and TAG are the easiest paints to re-pot. I love pairing up TAG Pear Lilac with FAB Purple Shimmer for the girliest butterflies...

As Denise says, The Shimmers are great for sponging and blend so beautifully with others shimmers and pearls, but they are the worst for line work. Th regular colors are good enough for line work, though.

...says the lady with all the FAB colors... Wink

Thanks Erica! It's from YTU of course. And my precious daughter... 13 and quickly getting too expensive for me. It cost me $5 to try Ranthau's alien on her tonight. And I'm totally jealous of your BAMS!
Miss Ronnie, is fab rage better than tag red? What about the paradise red?

Every $30 order from silly farm saves $5 and gets a free BAM Wink. I refuse to pay my oldest to be painted. I pay her $10 from each party I do as it is. She helps keep my brushes and workspace clean, hands out business cards, helps the indecisive cookie snatchers pick what they want and takes pics when I remember to ask lol.

I really do love my FAB paints. Really really. I have to remind myself not to use them for linework - since I have primarily shimmers and glitter colors. I have a full FAB pallete and several individual colors.

My 1st purchase was a pallet of, I think, 20 small Fab. STILL LOVE THEM! Ive replaced the ones used most often (Rage, Fuschia, Gold Shimmer). Now, I carry a small, deep plastic case w/all the small Fab cakes & a large Wolfe black & DFX White. The rest of my arty cakes, Tag one strokes & 30 Gm solid cakes, fit in my 2 pallets (laptop size). This way, with all the smaller Fab (?18GM) I have every color I need...grey, brown, all the metallics, bright orange for beaks & noses, Bright yellow. these are used less, but still handy to have in a more compact size. Just a thought for you. My tigers are almost always Tag Pearl Yellow & Orange or Fab Copper & Bronze. I LOVE Tag Pearl Rose & Pearl Teal for girly designs. Best of luck!
