Re: Yet another business name question...
Are chameleons sweet? I would have thought they taste like chicken....
(I like the name!)

Re: Yet another business name question...
Thanks, Miss Ronnie and Rebons. I was looking for something quirky and a hint southwestern. The name came from a Craigslist ad, someone wanting to sell their "sweet chameleon". (We didn't get the chameleon.)

The rule in my house is that pets have to have fur or feathers, and a maximum of four legs (just to rule out any tarantulas )
I really like the name you've picked!

We have that rule also! Reptiles are just so...reptilian.
Thank you for the encouragement. Everyone but my mother seems to like the name.

Re: Yet another business name question...
I like it
on thing you have to consider tho is when people are searching for you are they able to actually spell chameleon
My name is a poor example, no one can pronounce it for some reason.. i think lack of reading has something to do with it.. everyone keeps trying to pronounce the "N" that is not actually in the word magus.
They must watch too much sanctuary
But i've had it soo long that i decided i'd keep it. If i was starting new, i wouldn't be so cryptic

Re: Yet another business name question...
Its true Ladysinaz..everyone who sees my name "GlitznGlowz" pronounces it without the last Z. The even write the cheque that way sometimes..lol..
Re: Yet another business name question...
Christina, my mom is very intelligent, but extremely literal. She says stuff like "Sweet Chameleon sounds like desserts or lizards!" I try not to take it personally.
Lady S, you have a point. I just can't bring myself to misspell it on purpose. My third grade teacher would be proud to know that her brain washing still works, 35 years later.

Re: Yet another business name question...
Something to consider on naming - make sure all of your friends can spell chameleon without any prompting or looking it up. Otherwise, strangers aren't going to find you easily.
If there was one think I would change about my name, it's the "gilded" part. NOBODY spells it correctly. They spell it guilded, as in an artists guild, not gilded, as in gilded with gold, even if the correct spelling is right in front of them. It's beyond frustrating. While I can do things like purchase misspelled domains and such, it's just a hassle.

Hmmm, that's a really great point Julie!
My e-mail address is info@... because I couldn't count on people to get the A in my name. I am constantly called Christine, so I can totally imagine how frustrating it must be for you!

I'm going to stick with Sweet Chameleon. I'll probably pick up the misspelled websites at some point and just redirect them.
