FAB paint colors - recommend/ advice

This is a question for anyone who has used the FAB paints. I am looking at getting the 12 colour build your own pallet - these are some of the colours i am thinking of including: Lemon yellow, Sea foam, Fushia, Purple, Lilac, Dolphin, Gold Shimmer, Silver, Ziva blue shimmer, Blue SHimmer, Glitter glam OR princess shimmer, Purple shimmer OR Magenta shimmer, Ocean SHimmer. If you have any feedback regarding colour in the pot vs the skin, staining, consistency etc, (positive or negative) i'd love to hear it to help me make good purchasing decisions Thanks heaps!!

Suzy mentioned that the seafoam did NOT look good on skin when dry.
I have the silver and love it. Personally I didn't like Glitter Gold because the glitter was embedding itself in my sponges and then getting transferred later to other paints (even after laundering the sponges). I would rather put glitter where I want and when I want. I am lusting after some of the shimmer colors but don't need more paint at the moment.

I have heard that the Seafoam is too pale - almost white...

I haven't had it stain at all. I'll swatch them tomorrow morning and post. I *love* the glitter glam...

It's a little over-exposed but the colors are so pretty together! There is no added glitter - it's all in the paint.

Hi type in fab paints. You may find more info. I love love love my fab paints. Ocean shimmer magenta shimmer ziva princess glamour glitter gold. They are all lovely colors. I did get lemon lime don't like it much. Flat in color. They do smell but ohh so worth it lol.

The shimmer pink does stain me, but it doesn't stain any of my friends. I think it's like any of the other brands. We all respond differently to them.

Shimmer pink stains terribly on me, but it's so pretty it's worth it. I adore rose shimmer (I think it's the same as princess shimmer, I use Superstar rather than FAB branded paints!), and Ziva of course which is AMAZING with the shimmer pink. Line black is very good, mint not so great though it's an OK light blue (!), the lilac's pretty and the silver and gold are both great. I like the shimmer blue, too.

I really want the ocean shimmer!

I have just about every FAB color in the 16gm size. They last quite a long time (but maybe because I have so many dang different paints)... I had to replace my purple shimmer twice this summer from using it so much.

I have used the seafoam - but not that often (it's darn handy for Squidward, though!)

I have almost every color TAG, too.

You can't go wrong with either brand.

How 'bout some colour swatches on the arm?
Anyone feel like doing that with the colors you have so we can see it on actual skin?

I'll try to run some swatches when there's decent light tomorrow. It's dark here now.

Those swatches have REALLY made me want ocean shimmer...I think it's just called green shimmer in the Superstar version though.

I started out w/the smaller size Fabs: 16Gms/20 color pallet. Still using them, although I did replace some frequently used w/larger 45Gm size. I really prefer the smaller. 20 of them plus my 90gm DFX white & Wolfe black all fit in one small plastic case. Love my Fabs! Here's a pic of my Metallics:

Ooh, the bronze looks amazing! That's definitely going on my list! I somehow presumed the copper would be brighter than the bronze, but it looks like it's the other way around.

Just wondering, is the seafoam a good haunt color?

I've heard others say seafoam isn't very good and comes up a bit blue, but if that's true and it isn't all that opaque (you'd have to ask someone who owns it), it might indeed work well as a ghosty colour!

Yes! I use it for ghoulish looks a lot. It is perfect for Monster High designs.

Having played around, I think that FAB Seafoam is Superstar Mint. And yes, it works for ghosty-ghoulie faces, it's how I used it the other day.

I'm pleased now, because I couldn't figure out what to use it for....it was a bit of a disappointment when I got it.

I had completely forgotten that I use the sea foam for ghouls and Monster High.

When you put all your color together in an organizer, sometimes it's hard to remember what color is what!

Coming back here because I swatched my Superstar paints today for a different reason, and figured I may as well put them in here for any future curious cats.

L-R: Ploppy Orange, Baby Blue, Old Red, Pale Yellow

L-R: Glitter Gold, Shimmer Rose, Shimmer Pink, Lilac

L-R: Pure Silver, Gold, Dark Brown, Milk Chocolate, Lime

Close-up of the silver and gold, so you can see how fantabulously purdy they are.

I also have Line White, Clown White and Line Black, but didn't much see the point in swatching those!
