Re: Post Away!
Wow, some incredibly tough competition! Here's my first attempt to post to a contest, and my first attempt to use the palm leaf stencil, #1010...to make a tiger mask, peeking through the jungle...

Re: Post Away!
I used bam stencil 1002, tag pearl wine and pearl blush split as a base sponged on, first in mehron silver I sponged on the stencil then used dfx black and white to create an edgy/ swirly frame then went over it again sponging black with the stencil here and there to blend it in. I outlined in both black and white and added stars and a centre star and dots with white. Layering over and over again in swirls... in hind sight maybe I got a little too swirly and busy but I was having fun with it trying to "punktify" it.( yes thats a word..lol must be its on the internet now ) haha anyways enjoy!)

I also added lip colour tag wine and neon pink and neon purple from tag in her hair to punk it up a little...

Here's my stencil attempt number 2...neck corset with eye design. I used 3 stencils for this, #1021, #1023, and #2035. Wolfe white, Kryolan Interferenz bronze, Detailz, Liquid Bling, and gems. Brushes: Kryolan #28 flat sable for the base white, and Wolfe synthetic round #1 for everything else.

Re: Post Away!
Great job everyone! If you didn't list the stencil number in your post, could you kindly update it with the number? Thanks so much!

Re: Post Away!
Gretchen, love how your neck and eye designs look like "drilled fabric" (with all those tiny holes, if that makes sense)...

Re: Post Away!
You guys are really making it hard for me to resist ordering some stencils and entering... but I guess that's the point, huh?
Re: Post Away!
My 2nd entry to the contest. I've used two stencils again, this time in sort of a clown face.
I've used two stencils in this design. On the forehead and cheeks I've used the dots #1011; near the outside of the eyes and on the chin I've used the stars #1037.
Hope you'll like it!

Re: Post Away!
I painted a dragon using the bam stencil # 1013 (scales)... I used tag pearl green, dfx black and white and a custom tag pearl green (dragon?) one stroke.

Re: Post Away!
My first entry for the contest is a purple & gold cheetah using BA cheetah print stencil. The colors I used were Tag Lilac Pearl, Wolfe Antique Gold, DFX Purple, DFX White, & DFX Black. First I covered her in the lilac, then proceeded to add in the gold & purple. Next I applied the opposite color of cheetah print to the color I sponged it to. Then with black I painted the outlines & proceeded to paint the finishing details.
Re: Post Away!
For my second entry I decided to design a mask inspired by the colors of a peacock. I used Tag Peacock Split, Wolfe Antique Gold, Tag Dark Blue Pearl, & BAMS Cheetah Print Stencil. I started out by painting the mask itself with the split cake leaving & opening around the eyes. Next I added the cheetah print in gold. Then I painted the outline of the mask in blue & the eyes & lips in gold. I finished up the design by adding glitter to the outline, eyes, & lips & added gems.
Re: Post Away!
For my last entry I decided to go a completely different direction; I created a creepy rag doll. I used Paradise White, Tag Brown, DFX Light Blue, DFX Light Purple, DFX Pink, DFX Green, DFX White, DFX Black, BAMS Star Stencil, BAMS 1002, BAMS 1013, BAMS 1005, & BAMS 1035. I started off my mixing white & brown to make a cream color to cover her in; just to give her a porcelain look. Then I added patches in various colors. Next I added the stencils to each patch to give it a stronger look. Then I added the eye, button, & mouth. Last but not least I added the last of the detailing to bring the doll to life.
