Etiquette working with another?? Empty Etiquette working with another??

Post by Fun Frog Mon Jun 25, 2012 10:40 am

Have booked a birthday party and arranged another painter to assist as there will be 50 faces in 2 hours. We will be splitting the $$ equally but of course I would prefer to get any booking from the other guests.Do I ask her not to hand out her cards? Is this standard or am I just weid??

No, you're not weird...it's your booking and it's totally acceptable to tell her that she can't hand out her own cards.

If she is coming with you, through you, then you have the privilege of saying that yours are the ones to be handed out... if you were each hired separately by the party, then you could each hand out your own cards. I think that's standard. If you were helping her to get started and wanted to let her build her business through it, you could allow her to hand hers out but I wouldn't say you were expected to.

It's your booking, your cards.

And honestly, there should only be one set of cards being handed out anyway at private parties, otherwise it's really confusing to parents.
