My new flyer...
This is a quickie I made up to plaster all over the twin cities. I'm not the best, but I need jobs!!! I think it turned out well. Tell me what you think...

Great start!
As a graphic designer in a previous life, here are a couple of comments you can take or leave
* I know that cropping hair can be a pain, but my hunch is that those cuties would look better with some of their hair showing.
* The 3-d beveled text is cool but will only read really close up.Depending on where you are thinking on posting these and how far folks are when you hope to 'grab' their attention, I would consider loosing some of it and opting for simpler and BOLD type treatment.
* If I squint the "call now to reserve..." text become is not legible, and blends with the background color. I know those effects are easy to get lost in, and tough to resist but sometimes less IS more.
Generally PEOPLE ARE LAZY (not anyone on this forum of course..) and wont bother to decipher text that is tough.
HOWEVER - before I sound like a total critical heel, I would like to say that your color choices, lovely faces, and BOLD BLUE TAG are all good stuff!
Last - DEFINITELY ADD A WEBSITE ADDRESS! Maybe consider having the word face painting in it (ex : Darlenefacepainting.com) might be better than just Darlene Designs as far as web searches go...
Hope you read this in the spirit it was written, and I look forward to seeing quickie two!
Best, Avigail

Re: My new flyer...
Thank you so much for your feedback-!!! I'm not one to get upset with creative criticism. Good things to examine, and work on... I've been told before.."know when to stop", so I know what you're getting at! My husband is actually taking a class on building websites, so that is just a while down the road, but for now $ is tight, so that's not in our budget at this time...believe me, I used to have one for our studio, but when we moved it was obsolete.
Thanks SO much!!!
Thanks SO much!!!
Re: My new flyer...
OKAY, I've been working a little on it...let me know what you think. It's funny the hair would come up...as you can see-my daughter had just gotten her hair "painted" by the lady next to me, so most of the kids had green pink and yellow hair!! lol
Re: My new flyer...
that was quick!!
My two cents... MUCH IMPROVED:
Easy to read, nicely proportioned and FUN!
last note, you might want to add some tracking (spacing bt. the letters) to your phoone number to make it easier to read.. some of the numbers are touching.
