When will I learn
So, you may have seen the body suite style paint I did in another thread- a LOT of black involved.....
So, it was really wet- so I left it open to dry. Somehow the cat managed to step into the black AND the open copper thatw as on the other side of the table, with opposite feet.... So
What did I awaken to all over my tile floors this morning? A record of everywhere the cat walked. Looked like one of those Family Circus cartoons that shows where the kid went on his way to the store.

Re: When will I learn
I know that must have been a rotten mess to clean up.... but it sure makes for a funny story, especially when you mentioned the Family Circus comparison!
Re: When will I learn
Well fortunately "All the face paints I use are water based and clean up easily with soap and water" this includes off of tile, cats, etc.... The black NOT so much on the sofa- gladly I had a throw on it!
No, no pics... was too busy cursing at the cat- who was busy complaining to me that his paw was black.

Re: When will I learn
That's funny, since you had a throw on the couch... Not so funny otherwise.
I'm with Shannon... Pictures next time!
My sister has 3 kids and they live on a farm. They have gotten into a lot over the years. She has an 'Incidents' book of photos. Her kids are older than mine, and by the time I had mine, she taught me to save the scolding (or laughing) and run for the camera before any reprimanding. It has made for fantastic, funny memories captured. Neither of us take things too seriously though, and while our kids know how to behave (or we beat them ), they also know that we can all have a good laugh at each other's expense when we screw up. Twisted, but it's all in good fun.
I'm glad cleanup wasn't too bad.

Re: When will I learn
I have three children.
I also mistakenly left a black permanent marker within reach of my oldest daughter when she was 4 years old.
I went to the washroom. Not gone long.
Had a brand new couch.
Madison decorated the one day old couch cushions with "fish" designs.
Madison decorated her 2 year old sister with "makeup" and "lipstick", using the black permanent marker.
I came out of the bathroom and I was greeted by a very "Goth" looking two year old, and a cheery 4 year old excited about the prospect of going into her newborn baby sisters' room to "decorate".
Darcy looked like she was still wearing smudgy eyeliner/eyeshadow a week later in her Junior Kindergarten class end of year party.
Face paint is no big whoop to me. I can handle facepaint marks.

Re: When will I learn
HaaHaaa! Reminds me of the YES Album cover where Roger Dean's cat had walked across his painting. He had to hide the cat prints in the clouds w/ little time (the print was due that morning if I remember the story right). You can faintly see the paw prints (I don't remember which album anymore).
