comic book convention
I've been asked back a HUGE comic book convention, I don't have but one super hero/comic book thing, Spiderman is it. I only like to do half faces, I like to leave the mouth un painted, it seems to last a bit longer and no smears from eating, 98% of my gigs are festivals/events. I have to have quick designs that can be whipped out in 3- 5 mins tops, 5 is pushing it. I was looking through the forum and was wondering if you all have any ideas? They also want me in the kids room for a hour , and I'll still have my booth set up and have hubby doing glitter tattoo's.

I recommend you check out Mr Corey's Face Painting. He's a member of this forum too...His user name is Corey291, if you search his posts you'll see lots of super heroes.
Re: comic book convention
Comic cons are hit or miss.... It just depends the size & age group going. I'd offer the regular super heroes, but be ready to paint some of the obscure stuff. Are you good at looking at an illustration & copying it? If so, offer a higher priced "I'll try to paint any hero or villain if you can provide a picture" option They will google it or show you a comic, poster, etc.
Re: comic book convention
I agree with Linda. Wolfe Brothers are the kings at painting super heros that look cool enough to go on adults. Not sure if you are on fabatv, but there's a cool video there on super heros. It's a great base to extend to every design. Seems like a comic book convention needs to appeal to older people, so I would practice up on 1-eye designs. pretty swirl masks... cyborg half face... monster eye. TRIBAL TRIBAL TRIBAL. Pashur has a cool spider and scorpion that would be good for teens/adults. Are you doing glitter tats? Those seem to go over really well with an older crowd.
