Anyone tried the Kryolan Glitter Powder Palette????
I am considering getting this because I think that it would work well for a huge Easter gig I have coming up. Has anyone tried the kryolan glitter powders before? If so, what do you think about them?
Please respond ASAP because I have a coupon that expires at midnight.
Thanks,
Patricia

Yes, I just got it last week and I don't know what to make of it yet. Maybe my expectations were too high. I assumed it would be very rich in color and make my paint "pop" as they say, but I don't see any popping. Im going to play with it a little more and see what happens.

I don't know. I have Ben Nye and like it but these don't look very glittery.
Ana...you should swatch your arm. I tried to get a Coastal Scents pallet because I wanted more of a variety of colors but they didn't cover as well as the Ben Nye so they are sitting in my makeup drawer now. They are soft and glittery but I can't use them as a substitute for paint.

Well I did end up ordering these. They are kind of a soft, somewhat shimmery powder. They look very good on pale skin tones, but are very sheer on darker skin tones. I have been using them as bases for my princess/fairy designs. They work really well for this, especially for girls who don't like paint around their eyes.
I am thinking that I might end up swapping them and getting individual containers of just the colors I've been using, though. Because I really don't have room in my set up for the entire pallet to go with me to every gig.

Seems the write up at SF may be overselling this wonderful product. I'd not call it a glitter powder (even if Kryolan calls it this). Most all pressed powders are really a shimmer, some are far better than others. Kryolan VIVA is high shimmer, high pigment and therefore a higher price. The more you pay the better shimmer/glitter effects you will get.

Shandi, I will try to do some tomorrow. I don't know if I will have a chance, though, because I am packing for my missions trip.

Pj im sorry this has nothing to do with your topic but I just thought Id tell you that youre awesome! I didnt realize you were on here a guest at my hotel came up to me and found your avatar on the internet and asked me to try to do that to her face. I did my best but it definitely didnt do the design justice. Youre great!
Re: Anyone tried the Kryolan Glitter Powder Palette????
ha ha...that's funny because I was inspired by a picture on the internet that I found years ago, and I didn't do it justice. I should probably give it a go again now that I know how do simple things like blending, etc.
