I have two parties both this month!

Rock star is the theme for both the parties! Do you guys have any cool pic and ideas you would like to share? One of the mothers mentioned hot pink and tiger stripes. I may try to get a star stencil cause I really suck at stars

Maybe pink and purple zebra and cheetah eye designs and lots of swirls.

Try some fat tear drops, 5 of them, pointing out from a center dot, and if you fiddle with it a little, pretty soon you will be making five pointed stars!

How about a guitar around an eye with stripes?

I had a rock star themed party about three months after I started my business. Showed up looking amazing with my hair in a faux hawk and wearing a guitar t-shirt, with lots of cool rock star designs on my board. Then I saw the Hannah Montana decorations. Can anyone say letdown???

It turned out to be a great party, though. The birthday girl, who was turning five, was this awesome little kid. She was pretty unhappy that her mom had gotten Hannah Montana decorations (I wanted to high five her when she turned to her grandma and said in an angry little girl voice "I said I wanted a rock star party! NOT Hannah Montana!"). I painted this mask on her:


Yes, I know that picture is horrible. I came up with the design like a month after I started to take face painting seriously (Right after the mom booked the party). Unfortunately, the only picture I have of the design is this one, and it was taken on my first attempt. It has since been much improved. I no longer try to attempt the guitar strings. Instead I just do the guitar in silhouette.

Other than that, I did a few styles of rock star eyes, and then your typical fp fare (tiger, spiderman, butterfly, etc.). Also did a butterfly with a guitar in the center, which turned out a lot better than I thought it would.

I did a bunch of easy eye design last week at an event and there were a lot of women who wanted rock designs. Black zebra stripes on hot pink base... cheetah print in different colors... They were super easy and I didn't even have to add any line work. Make sure you study zebra stripes, though... they aren't the same as tiger stripes. Wish I had taken more pictures but I hope this helps!
