Another first for me - belly painting
At last I've joined the belly painters club.
And now there's no looking back, if I thought I was hooked on face painting, well... this is far more rewarding for me. I just found the afternoon with mum-to-be and her sister so relaxing. And I'm REALLY happy with my photos. I took about 100!!! She was so sweet, I made her go here, and there, and over there, and what about this....
Ok, I'll shut up and show you the pics. She gave me free license, but did say her favourite colours were pink and purple. And she like flowers and fairies. Since my fairies look like squashed mosquitos, I opted for flowers and dragonflies.

And then I added the dragonflies...

Sooo happy. I think I'm going to run a competition for another free session (this one was a freebie for my portfolio, friend of a friend) to build up some interest.
And a funny thing, I was telling a colleague at work about it, and he says, 'why would you do that? she's just going to wash it off,' - well, yeah... but....guys just don't get it.

Ahhh, that's so beautiful! I know that feeling, being hooked after one belly.
And yes, you wash it off, but when you follow that line, you don't have to eat anymore, don't have to wash your clothes anymore, don't have to clean anything anymore........

Thanks for the kind words. You know they mean a lot to me.
To be honest, there's no way I would have been capable of doing this all on my own. It's thanks to each and every one of you for the inspiration, your generosity in sharing your tips, techniques and designs... you know what I'm saying...
"Thanks!"

Re: Another first for me - belly painting
I nearly forgot the shoulder, although I had planned to do it. I had already finished the belly when I remembered, but it wasn't a drama. I think it would be nice to do a 'necklace' as well (I mean instead of the shoulder). But whatever the case, all I know is that I want to do MORE belly painting.
So I'm organising a competition atm to promote... and a story in the paper too. I've hooked up with a local photographer. She's just starting out, but her work is amazing. Lovely natural photos. I'm trying to get a hairstylist involved as well. It's been a bit of a pain working through all the terms and conditions of the comp, but I want it to be legal and I don't want it to break any facebook rules. I'd be heartbroken to lose my page.
Has anyone else hosted a comp? How did you get maximum exposure on facebook without breaking the rules?
