Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!

I am like a little kid getting the toy that they really ,really wanted for Christmas! I bought my tickets today for the Barry Manilow concert. This is the 1st time he has come to our area and I was not about to miss this concert! He is my favorite singer songwriter. Yay! Ok ,I know I am a bit of a geek but, Yay!

LOL, I am proud to be a Fanilow! He is amazing. My brother is a hard core 70's and 80's rock man and he just called me a few minutes ago. He saad, "Why can't you like someone cooler, I mean, I'm kinda embarrassed." Then he said, "I'm so glad we aren't in school anymore!" He is such a booger, my only sibling and we are very close so he loves to tease me.

I told him that Barry is on my bucket list. He said," I understand Barry is like your Rolling Stones?"...Exactly! LOL

I love it that he can't smile without me. :-D

Me too Diane! LOL Thank you Janb, I will. My hubby, who has also been my brothers best friends since age 5, will be taking me. He is happy to take me and wants to go on a date but I don't think he even knows one song.

Aww Jody I am so happy for you! That's how I felt when I saw my beloved John Denver for the first time! And you NEED some fun and joy in your life! Good good good. I can't wait to hear all about it!

The worst year of my life was when we lost Princess Di, John Denver and Frank Sinatra all in about 6 months time I think it was...

I didn't take JD's death well, and I am not one of those people who cry over celebrities, but I definitely shed a tear for JD. After having met him when I was a teenager, and him kissing me on top of my head, I felt like I "knew" him LOL. My my my aren't kids funny? I still have his autobiography that I had him autograph for me, and my mom has some photos still. Sigh. I love him so much.

I didn't know Barry was still touring! That's really cool. What is he, 68?

Man what a concert! We were right by the edge of the stage at eye level. Yeah, he was singing just for me! LOL

Awesome memory. I got to see Three Dog Night and Diana Ross (separate events) in small venues once. I will remember those concerts a long, long time! Congrats on yours!

Single men should take note.....
There are TONS of gorgeous women at Barry Manilow concerts.

Pilareta, we were right there at the edge of the stage and when he would sit down at that keyboard and play it was like it was just for us. Amazing. I cried when he sang Even Now.

Copacabana was my ring tone until I changed my phone! Lucky you, so close you can almost touch him

My sister and I listened to our Mom's 8 track of Manilow until it wore out, lol! She always got mad when he sings 'Sweet Melissa' in Could it be Magic. Easily one of the greatest triumphs of my childhood!

I remember when I was a young teen and just began daydreaming about boys.... I would play Could it be Magic? over and over as I slow danced with my pillow...
