Vegas convention

Anyone going to Vegas in February? I registered today... excited already! Yay!

Unfortunately not able to. I have to save up vacation time - one of the drawbacks of having a day-job!

I'm planning on it!! I've just been waiting to see the schedule/instructors...but I am definitely planning on being there, and I am STOKED!

Cassandra - are you going with anyone, or going solo?

Would like to go, maybe I will. I have never been to Vegas, but it also depend on who is coming =)

I'll be at Living Canvas next month. That uses up the accrued vacation time for a bit.

There is a 50/50 chance I am going. I LOVE Las Vegas and am so stoked it is out there. But, I am also waiting on the list to be posted.

I am going with another painter from my town. Vegas will be a first for both of us! I hope there are a lot of vendors!!!!

I really like the non nude aspect of this convention. I'm the prudish type that would probably never do nude painting, so this would be up my ally.

Looks like if you register by Monday you get a t-shirt and $50.00 discount. Humm... need to talk to the hubby.

If anyone is going solo and wants to share a room, let me know! I'm assuming these are the usual double queen rooms...

I was thinking of seeing if my sister wanted to come...but she's not a painter and I don't know what she'd do all day!

I might be interested. Giving myself a day to think about it (and justify expense/time away).

We could start our own "Kristal" room.. (snicker)

Just spoke to the hubby and he says if we can work it into the budget, he'll watch the kids and I can go!

I used to live in Las Vegas and it's my old 'stompin groung'!! I Think I'd enjoy a nice drive, 'road trip' to Vegas!

I read on another list that they have extended the early bird special registration to Sept 12th.

Just over a month to go! I'm still trying to decide on which pre-class to sign up for - although - ooh, class lists!

So...I'm debating between Mark Reid (Mastering Your Craft), Nick & Brian Wolfe (How to Paint like a Wolfe), and Lisa Smiley for pre-class...thoughts?

They don't have all the descriptions up yet...I need to look and obsess! Also...must contact travel agent :S
