Best Starter Kit?
Hi, I am have just started my face painting business and wanted to add glitter tatoos to my services. I am having trouble deciding what kit to buy and from which site.
Any suggestions for a reasonably priced small to medium size kit (like 50-100 tats)?

There are a couple of threads started with this info. Easier for you to take a look than me to repost, hope this helps!

Re: Best Starter Kit?
IMO, the best starter kit is from Signature Glitter. I have kits from Amerikan Body Art, DFX and Glimmer...I prefer the Signature one.

He he he I wasn't sure if I was allowed to post the link or not. I just bought 14 pounds of glitter from her. Got tired of always being worried about running out if i had a few big events in a row. I love her style of poof bottles, they stay looking nice, clean and professional after lots of use. I have 2 kits from her.

Re: Best Starter Kit?
Thanks guys!
I contacted them to ask a few questions about the kit. I wanted to know the glue they used. They said the kit comes with graftobian glue.
Never heard of it. Is it any good?

I'm thinking about adding glitter tattoos... But I'm trying to find the most affordable kit...
Re: Best Starter Kit?
As a starter kit, as mentioned, it is the best. Having said that, once I got rolling and made $$, I prefer glimmer glue. When you start, this is the best bang for the buck, the glue works perfectly fine, but only you will be able to figure out over time which application method works for you. For me, all of the glues that I have tried work the same...it is the application methods that vary. Only experience will give you that knowledge.

Re: Best Starter Kit?
Bekah...it sounds like alot of money to buy a kit...but if you look at it...once you do a few tats, it is pure profit. I charge $8 per tat...so after approx 20 tattoos, my kit is paid for, and I am in the red..green...??? Whatever colour profit is. LOL

Re: Best Starter Kit?
It does sound like a good investment... I will go for it, but I just can't bring myself to pay so much in one go! Haha
When I have a bit more money I'll go for it... Once I've got the car fixed...
You are right though, they seem popular too!

Re: Best Starter Kit?
Tats aren't hugely popular here...but they have totally saved my bacon at PPF events where it rains all weekend. I made some $$ rather than zero if it were face paint only.

Re: Best Starter Kit?
I'll be getting my first glitter tattoo kit sometime in the next couple of months. I'm going to train my daughter to do them, and give her that part of the business.
Not ready to invest in equipment to make my own stencils, yet. I'm just not sure what's the best deal. I have saved several sites that I know sells them, and was planning to get a starter kit from Glimmer Body Art, but they stopped selling the kit I had my eye on. At least Silly Farm still has it. Hopefully, by the time I have the money (income tax refund) it'll still be there.
