First time belly painting

I am reluctant to post this pic, as it is nowhere near as good as so many I see here. But I will anyway. I know I need to work on my lettering – the bottom lettering looked better when Mom was reclining – didn’t think about how the shape would change when she stood up (duh!) But it was something simple for my first try and Mom, Dad and big sis seemed to like it. Now if just more of my friends would get pregnant and let me practice more!

Great job! I am having such a hard time tracking down pregnant ladies to paint on! I really really want to do some bellies.

I did a balloon decor event at Babies R Us and the number of expectant moms coming in was crazy...so I spoke with the powers that be and was allowed to place flyers in an attractive stand advertising my belly painting...its one way to get the word out...when I went to replensih the flyers, there were around 6 or 7 left! So that meant moms to be were probably picking them up to consider it.

I never thought about belly painting when I was pregnant with Emma. However, when I was pregnant with Olivia I read about belly painting during pregnancy. So, with Olivia I painted my belly into a jack-o-lantern since Halloween was 3 weeks before my due date. I had her on Novermber 20th---and NOBODY has seen this picture except some close friends/family AND now you ladies because my artwork isn't very good
