New one-stroke color combos
Guys...I'm so excited about some one-stroke cakes I made tonight but it's after 3:00 am and I'm exhausted and it's hubby's birthday tomorrow so I wanted to show you this one because I'm shocked at how cool it turned out. It's a twist on the autumn cake...I'm calling it "fall leaf"...got to go to bed...

Re: New one-stroke color combos
Okay, here's the others. I've got a spring colors one that is a lot like TAG's jewel but uses teal instead of blue (Pirates and Princesses had a picture with pink & teal mixing to purple....AWESOME...I'm going to make a split with those colors today.) I shall call it "Spring"
The next one is a modified snake cake (because mine was running out) and I put a sliver of black on one end and white on the other so that I could do ALL type of leaves with it and still make a snake with a 3/4" brush. So if I use a 1/2" I can make bright leaves or I can make dark leaves/holly/clovers, etc. I shall call it "leaves" LOL
Next, I needed a substitute for a dolphin cake. I didn't really like the purple on the TAG dolphin and even blue bird is too much so I put just a sliver of blue at the end, tulip silver, powder blue and white. I worked on a one stroke dolphin that would look more like a real dolphin so you wouldn't have the double line (I still like my little cartoonish dolphin...he's done with a 1/2" brush) It's a little more sophisticated and subtle but I think he looks more real. I shall call it "natural dolphin"
And then I just took some better pictures of the "fall leaf"...I was too tired last night to see straight. The colors excite me, they are so pretty on the skin. The light green just makes it pop.
I don't think I'm done though. While it's a mess I'll make that pearl pink & teal split (teal is so dang soft...grrr.) and a pearl version of the unicorn cake. And last, but not least, enjoy the carnage!!

Re: New one-stroke color combos
Mind if I use some of these for the shop? They look awesome! Love the leaf-will have to put this on the list for next year!
Re: New one-stroke color combos
That would be great! My family would appreciate the lack of carnage too.

Pearl Unicorn
Here's the pearl version of the unicorn cake. I'm out of one-stroke containers so I used a lid which is okay because I didn't have much paint in these colors. I had a sillyfarm cake that was running out so I used the pink and purple from it for these colors, if I were going to make it for real, I'd use the TAG pearl purple of course which is a "bluer" purple...this is almost a wine color.

Re: New one-stroke color combos
I LOVE the unicorn in pearl! Metina, if you can order a similar one, I'd (be broke) but happy!
Pearl Teal & Pearl Pink
Here's a split with TAG Pearl Teal & Pearl Pink and they make a FABULOUS blend in the middle. Princess and Pirates used it for a mask and it looked fabulous.
Now I just need a party.

Teal and Purple Splits for Pirates?
Hi Denise,
I love your split cakes especially the metaliic teal and purple blend that you said works great for pirates and princesses...would you have some photos of how you used these colors into those designs, please??

Re: New one-stroke color combos
Sorry....Princesses & Pirates is a face painter on Facebook (pretty sure she's here because I "liked" forum members and I love her stuff so I click through.)
Anyway...the pink/teal would be great for butterflies, masks and pretty bases for flowers and eye designs.
Thanks for the compliments guys. It so much fun to do...other than the cleanup!

Re: New one-stroke color combos
Hey Denise... any chance you can show your avatar straight on to get a better look. It is so cool and and I wanna try it.
Re: New one-stroke color combos
Awesome avatar Denise, love it! Love the splits also. Do Tag paints last long?
Re: New one-stroke color combos
Last on the skin or in the pot? I'm using them up pretty fast so I'm not sure how long they'll last. As far as on the skin they are about the same as Wolfe and DFX, very durable. I think the metallics stain a little less than Wolfe.

Re: New one-stroke color combos
I meant the pot, I guess I was wondering how it last compares to others that is all.
Thank you
Thank you
Re: New one-stroke color combos
Great combos and dragon!
I need to sit down and take out sometime to make a snake cake. Mine is running low, too. I have a leaf cake so it's the same colors as yours(with the black).
