Scary Halloween Shop Story:-(
I'd scoped out a lot of Pop-Up Halloween Shops in my area in the hopes of painting out of one of them. They all gave me push off answers & 1 said they had a make-up artist already that would be doing Halloween faces. I happened to stop in since I was doing my Halloween faces in the same plaza. Grease Crayons She was using grease crayons(or whatever they are) all over this teens face. It looked awful! It just bugs me when I see this & know that this is the norm & what people in the general public except & except... I wanted to walk out, paint my face & walk back in & make them squirm

Dear Psalmbook:
Your instinct was correct....you should have painted your face and come back to show them what REALLY WELL DONE facepaint SKILLFULLY applied by one of North America's top face painters.
A few years ago, I asked about painting at a party store near me and they wanted me to use their Palmer paints. They were charging out $75/face plus any prosthetics they sold would be applied for free. I would be getting $37.50/face. I told them that I was allergic to their facepaint and could only use my own kit. They turned me down. I brought my youngest daughter and her two friends into the store to pick up some cat ears and tails for their Halloween party they were attending. I painted them as a lion, tiger, and a leopard. It felt really good when the staff were asking where they got their faces painted.
I now work on my own out of my husbands' photography studio during Halloween. I neglected to take a single picture this year. There is always next year!
That store doesn't know what they are missing.
Happy post-Halloween!
