Princess Party Package
This is to those who offer princess parties. In November I am launching my 4 seasons Fairy Goddess parties. I have already had inquiries for these parties and 2 people wanting to book.
We are providing for use, the wings, tiaras, wands, boas. Each girl will get a opulent bling mask to coordinate with their wing color. I am even thinking of making 2 no-sew tutus (1 colored and 1 white)for them to slip on for a photograph and of course the picture. I am toying with the idea of adding nails and the package time is 2 hours for 10 girls.
Just curious as to what some of you that do this charge so I can get an idea of where I should start my pricing.
I am thinking of doing a
basic package ( no nails, or photo, no bling)
ultimate pkg. which is all inclusive
I am trying to lock this down so I can get back to the clients who are ready to book.
Thanks for responding

Re: Princess Party Package
Having the same idea! Thought I'd do Fairy teaparties (have most of the supplies @ home already) supplying face painting, sometimes a friend to dress as a fairy, wings to decorate, tea sandwiches, fruit & cake. Tea will be lemonade or juice. If people are interested, I could do pirate parties, too. When boys attend a little girls birthday, the theme wont change, but they can have an appropriate face paint, eg: skull, pirate, tiger etc. Just starting out, but I've practiced on everyone since August & did 2 charity events for the experience & exposure. I have my 1st paid gig in 3 days. Good Luck on your adventure!
Re: Princess Party Package
No advice on pricing as my area is totally different from yours, but I love these parties. Just wanted to say that www.haloheaven.com has cheap prices for flower halo, crown, wings, and tutu.
Re: Princess Party Package
What is your base hourly rate? That would help us to understand your market.

Re: Princess Party Package
i love Halo Heaven!! They have really great quality stuff for great prices!! I do fairy parties where the girls get to keep their wands and wings, and make their own halos. I do an hour of face painting and a half hour of fairy games.I also come "in Fairy" I charge my hourly rate for the painting, an extra 50 for the games, another fifty just to put on my costume, then I took how much the supplies cost me, doubled it, and that is what I charge!

Re: Princess Party Package
Well that gives me some direction, as they will only have use of the wings, wands and such. I will be outfitted in costume.
My hourly just for facepainting is $90/hr with a 2 hr. min. I don't do 1 hr. parties.
So for the basic it looks like I'll just need to add on for the rental/use of the props. and I think I will add 1 group photo for the birthday girl emailed to the host.
For the ultimate pkg. I'll need to upcharge for the bling, nails, and the individual photo of each child emailed to the host.
My least expensive party is 2 hrs of FP & BT for $250.00
So I am figuring the range will be $225 to $285

Re: Princess Party Package
I do princess/ Diva party, I offer: Hair (up do or coloring), nail polish (no trim of file) face painting or glitter tattoo. Nails don't take long and girls love it.
The party it oriented for 4-5 years old girls and I am afraid of offering something that they can't keep, they maybe crying when you take the crown or tutu of, I better suggest the hosted mom to buy those from the dollar store and give it away as a party favor. I prefer to keep the price down I charge $12 per girl and the party is up to 8 girls in 1.5 hours.

Re: Princess Party Package
I know I am not going to keep/store a running stock of props. I neither have the room nor the inclination to do so. So it will be an option that they can either rent the use of our props or go buy their own. Most will take the easy peasy route if it saves them the time and trouble of hunting this stuff down on their own. After Halloween these items aren't as readily available to find.
I purchased supplies to outfit upto 20 persons in case I decided to do larger parties at some point or to replace should something get damaged
I appreciate all your comments on this, because I get to see the range of what is being offered by different people.
I was just on the phone a little while ago after I made my last post with one woman who has booked this party for 11/5 without knowing the final price I just gave her an estimate of what it might be and she has already paypal'd me the deposit.
This was why I was trying to get something concrete. I have had several inquiries from my FB promotion. I guess as the weather turns colder and you can't entertain as much outdoors, people are looking for activities to be done indoors. I don't know....my head is spinning... lol so much to think about.
But I do Thank you and welcome your feedback.
The party favors are up to the host. Now if they buy the ultimate package they will each get a photo of themselves. The basic will give the B-day child a group shot

Re: Princess Party Package
Face painting and a dress-up trunk with photos sounds like a lot of fun! I may have to look into this a little more.

I think enhancing your parties with fairy outfits and other dress up alternatives are a great idea!
I'm not sure what the laws are in the US but I know where I am that when I had a Clowning business before and offered all sorts of things, all was okay - unless I wanted to offer birthday cakes (or other food items) - then I'd need to have permission from the health and safety people (I can't remember their 'proper' government term) where they would come and inspect my kitchen where the prep would occur and need testing done of the food - it just wasn't worth the hassle for me.
Best of luck to you both! I wish you every success and many 'flights of fancy'
Re: Princess Party Package
I just did my first "princess" party. I used gowns that i had made over from formals. they wrap around and velcro on. Myself and a co-host were there for an hour and did a skit about what it really means to be a princess. Each girl one by one picked out their dress and then went to the room where the other girls were for the big "reveal". The applause was louder and louder for each girl. They opened presents, then returned the dresses before their tea party. I charged $150. Usual face painting rates are $95/hour

Re: Princess Party Package
Thank you ChaCha i appreciate your sharing. Looking at your party rate I think I am right in line with what I should charge for a 2 hour party with what I will be offering.
Re: Princess Party Package
This sounds like fun! I should look into offering something like this also. There are so many different things to tend to in this business that sometimes I can just feel my head spinning!
