Crowd Control - Page 2 Empty Re: Crowd Control

Post by Miss Ronnie Tue Oct 11, 2011 12:20 am

I have a green "on deck" chair as well. For smaller venues my system works very well. But the event that I wrote about this weekend was monstrous and I was under a huge circus tent ... right smack dab in the center. There was a cow train (oh-so-adorable) that had it's line weaving inside this humongous tent like it was some major Disney ride. There were kids oozing from the seams of the tent.... and all I wanted was a little 5' x 5' or so space to myself to do my job. It was stressful, yes....But I had a blast anyway. There is nothing I have ever enjoyed doing so much in my entire life. Just keep your little fingers outta my glitter and paint and quit sloshing my water and knocking over my iced tea and bumping my table so my line work streaks across little Jimmy's face, thank you very much! geek

I did some painting for my daughter's preschool reuinion party a few weeks ago. I had NO table, NO tent... I was on a park bench with supplies in a box in my lap and a tupperware thing of water next to me. The kids were standing on top of me the second i got out my kit... I said, loudly, "OK RULE NUMBER ONE: ONLY *I* CAN TOUCH THE PAINTS!" The 5 year old boy standing in front of me says, "OK... what's rule number 2?" heehee!

Crowd Control - Page 2 Empty The Guys in Blue and Crowd Control...

Post by faerypaint Wed Aug 13, 2014 1:38 pm

A week ago my daughter and I painted for an event that was a police-funded outreach to a particular area of their city. About forty-five minutes before finishing some of these awesome guys actually stood behind us while we painted, which was helpful for getting some of the kids- and their adults for that matter- to behave themselves. Good grief, before these three young men in blue came by to help, I caught one little girl going through my purse! When we were finished it was agreed that I need to hire these guys to keep crowds under control.  Wink
