VistaPrint banner issue Empty VistaPrint banner issue

Post by elantaura Thu Oct 06, 2011 6:54 pm

I ordered a banner through vista print and paid for priority order ( 7 day), low and behold they have not delivered day 8 I have spoken to them and they tried to inform me that priority does not apply to banners. I asked why then they offered this option?
I needed the banner for tomorrow why I paid priority. I am taking the matter to fair trading as I feel it is false advertising. They offered me a refund I said that I felt they should be forced to change their practise, Add to that that I have now wasted my time a whole week relying upon them. When I could have gone to a place that means what they say in policies.
In the meantime I need to come up with something else for tomorrow where the organiser specifically asked for signage. I have 12 hours in which to do this, nice to see they gave me notice too. I informed them that I may end up losing future business over this (as I have 10 events next year with this person, who asked for signage)
I felt people may be interested in knowing that apparently, “priority” does not apply to banners.
Sorry for the rant but I am so angry, and stressed right now. But felt that also people should know what they told me.

That sucks.

I got my banners from - the bannershop.com.... but it's down the road from me, they turn them over in 24 hours for you... and they are relatively cheap... they say they are the cheapest in Australia.... yeah I don't know about that.

At this point I would go to office works.
They aren't the cheapest but can make you some posters within two hours.
You can buy an a frame from them for $169 and put the posters in it.... I know it's more then you probably want to pay as you have just paid for the non-exsistant banner - but its an instant salution - you always pay more for wanting it asap - and also you can continue to use it/them in the future when you do have a banner... the A frames look really professional.
Just a suggestion. I think the posters were $29 last time I looked but don't hold me to that.

I have a printer and a laminater at home - so if I was in this postion and couldn't afford Office Works I would print out stuff and laminate it and stick it together to make a temporary sign.
Hope you get it sorted.... xxx

I ordered 2 banners and 2 large car door magnets on Monday. I got them in the mail this morning. The banners fit perfectly in the homemade pvc banner stand. I paid $66.00 for all 4 items with shipping. I chose the $30.00 shipping so it would arrive before my even this weekend. I was first quoted $88.00 total but the rep searched and searched for a better deal for me. I couldn't be more pleased. I think she went above and beyond. Every time I've ever used them I have been satisfied... but I only use a rep on the telephone instead of me ordering online by myself.
Sorry for your frustration... hope you can resolve it with them....?

Check your credit card statements and paypal accounts everyone, they were charging me 3.95 a month...never approved. If they did it to me, they could try it on you too!

Hey, check your local one hour photo. The Walgreens on my corner does one hour poster prints! I had to come up with a "fast faces" choice board almost overnight for a last minute booking (without my contact info since it was through another agency). I just made the image in Gimp and uploaded, but you can also sometimes make the collage at the photo center. The poster cost me $19 and the frame $10 (also at walgreens)

Thanks tash went out to office works and got a A3 A-frame, strangley enough I hadn't noticed them before. Technically got sinage for tommorrow still annoyed at Vista print. They sent me another guys business cards I didn't even order business cards. Phoned the guy up in case he had my banner - no luck.
I am still really angry about there way of dealing with it why offer priority postage, if you can't honour it.

There was a thread on here (I think this time last year) Where everyone posted examples of their signage- "good manners Zone" was pilfered from that Embarassed I had it laminated and another sign that says "sorry we're closed. Please visit us tomorrow" laminated as well. I taped the two together with packing tape around all the edges, except for a tiny spot so I can slide it on to my dowel- which is cemented into a coffee can. The poster is sitting on a little easel that I picked up at the flea market for 5 bucks.

I don't know why they WOULDN'T offer priority shipping on banners. I mean, what is the reason for that? The truck that carries your buisness cards is the same one that would bring you your banner- so I don't really see the difference either. Boo Vista Print.

I don't recall what they called my "shipping" (priority or urgent or whathaveyou) but my banners did arrive in 3 days as promised... as I stated above, I got 2 customized banners and 2 large customized car door magnets and had the most expensive shipping ($30) and I still think I got a great deal at $66.00... I wish everyone was as pleased with Vista as I have been. And by the way, I'm almost always the person who gets dealt a rotten hand with everything...so I don't know how I managed this one...lol geek
