Re: mozzilla add on - who stole my pictures anyone tried it?
Tried it it works found one on gumtree already stealing photos from face painting fun .com as a matter of fact two of the photos sre taken this is actually working Im sure it is not the greatest but it is free.
now do you do about the face painter with pictures that arn't her work? she has even posted them in her gallery on her website? ethics anyone the other photo has 7 pages of google hits I suspect it links back to snaz site.
I accisentally found this testing it out but it may be usefull to others

Re: mozzilla add on - who stole my pictures anyone tried it?
I think this is a lost battle, I google face painting in my country in South America and I found a lot of web-pages with stolen pictures, I google face painting in Korea (have a Korean friend) and the same happen I don't think we can't avoid the pictures to be post on internet world wide, the only thing we can do is WATER MARK.
Re: mozzilla add on - who stole my pictures anyone tried it?
I didn't know watermarking was so easy! I was shocked!
Re: mozzilla add on - who stole my pictures anyone tried it?
no idea but there are quite a few of them .... I have sent several emails now to sites to take down, on gumtree sending a link back to where the original pic came from. and asking for take down.
I'm ingnoring blogs and referance stuff but am getting annoyed at the amount of pics displayed on websites in various gallerys. and when you find one you tend to find a pile more with it. I found one today with 20 pics only 2 of them hers.
I think it would make a great way to find a bogus painter on craigslist. also you can click on your own pics from FPF and see where they lead and if you authorised it. then send email accordingly.
this isn't about inspiration folders this is about finding your pics in someones gallery on there website on craigslist or gumtree.
hope this helps everyone hear and deters those lurking on this forum and websites of face painters, that there is a way to track you, no matter what country you take from, and it don't matter how much you edit the photo it gets found.
that message only applies to those who use this site to rob pics from others, everyone else - feel free to ignore

Re: mozzilla add on - who stole my pictures anyone tried it?
also found ones where the watermark has been rewatermarked over.
Re: mozzilla add on - who stole my pictures anyone tried it?
Wow, I'm loving this Firefox plug-in! I just confirmed my suspicion that BOTH of the people on craigslist I'm competing with in my area are using stolen photos! So what do you think is the best way to go about confronting them?
Re: mozzilla add on - who stole my pictures anyone tried it?
I don't know about craigslist but I have been sending a message to gumtree with a link to original pic (if you can find it) and telling them that is is breach of copyright, and also misrepresentation of services offered as a facepainter is paid based upon the quality of there work.
I couldn't use the forms here that are in threads as I had a 300 character limit. It is the websites I don't know what to do about.
thinking a domain search may be in order, then send to provider any ideas on that?

Re: mozzilla add on - who stole my pictures anyone tried it?
Ooh, this is going to be a FUN add on! Thanks Elantaura!
Re: mozzilla add on - who stole my pictures anyone tried it?
This is very cool. I've already started emailing website owners about my images being used on their sites.
Re: mozzilla add on - who stole my pictures anyone tried it?
this is so awesome! Thanks for the info.
Re: mozzilla add on - who stole my pictures anyone tried it?
As someone who has fought this battle for YEARS, I can tell you that it's almost impossible to win. For every email you send, there are five other sites out there stealing your work. (See my rant: here). Ultimately, what will redeem you is your work in person. These other people aren't going to last long if they can't deliver.
