I just received my new snazaroo empty pro case from sillyfarm yesterday, and I may be dumb, but I can't fit my paints into it. It has a hard plastic glued to the bottom of the insert and they do not fit from the top. I can fit them in the holes upside down, so the holes are the right size. I am so confused. Are the paints supposed to come out of the pots to go in, if so how would you get them out and how would they stay in place. I just don't get it. Any advice greatly appreciated, since I have been so excited about getting this.

Can you post a link to a photo of the one you bought? I'm not sure which it is...

A pic might help. They should just sit right in the holes. They may have sent you the wrong one or the plastic may have been glued in upside down.

Have you contacted SF customer service as well? We will be glad to offer what we can, but since they have these made, they may be the quickest source of an answer.

So sorry this has happened. It is always such a bummer to be excited only to have it be the wrong thing or not work as you expected.

I did get a call back from sillyfarm. Apparently you just really have to work the paints in. I knew it would be me. haha. THanks for your time, oh and they have great customer service.

Hmm... you could remove them from the pot then, the base - slide knife under the clear plastic insert that holds the paint and the base pot, the glue should pop loose and then you can put the cake in the clear plastic cup into the holes.

If the glue won't release you can pop in the freezer for a bit.

It def would work that way shannon, I tried it, but the paint sits way to low in the insert. I may just make another insert myself. I did shove the pots down in it, but in some places the glue on bottom keeps them from going in right. I may just try to disconnect the foam from the plastic and put the pots in from the bottom, I am not thrilled with the foam insert at all. Thanks for taking the time to look at it.

I'm a little surprized they glued it in... things like that should be removable for cleaning IMO. Could you return it and ask them to send you an un-glued one?

Mine is glued down too in my newer (last year) Mehron pallettes and my SF pallette. I like what I saw Joanne C. does - She just uses the Mehron pots and has some self-adhesive velcro strips on the bottom of the hole and the bottom of the cake container. They hold but are easily removed for cleaning.

Two of my pallettes I have lifted the foam from the hard plastic backing insert and slid my Snaz from underneath (I have just a few for bases I really like and put them in the corner openings)- the lip on the bottom of their cup helps keep it in place. I am still rearranging my pallette - trying to optimize the color groupings to speed the painting

It appears to be maybe lowtemp hotglue they used. I think a hair dryer should loosen it enough to come off. THen I could use that plastic piece as a barrier between the insert I plan to form for the top. I would send it back, but procrastination is my middle name, so I prob will never get around to it. THe pots will fit secure enough with the lip that they shouldn't move and then I could wash it easier.
