Couldn't find this anywhere

I could be wrong and there could be a topic posted somewhere in this forum about this but sorry I couldn't find it!

I just want to know what everyone else here does as far as disinfecting their face paints?? I heard from some other site that you can spray rubbing alcohol onto each one from a spray bottle but I figured that would dry out your paint!!

I have a product I purchased from a company called "Beauty so clean" and it's original intent is for regular beauty makeup and that's what I use for my makeup I use when I do freelance but I figure I can also use it for my face paint! It's a spray sanitizer meant to be sprayed directly on makeup also included were wipes which are for lipsticks mascara wands etc. and has a spray brush shampoo for cleaning and conditioning.

Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Disinfecting your paints is NOT necessary. Most have a built in anti-bacterial to prevent mould from growing and you need to let the paints dry before putting them away. Other than that, you don't need to do anything.

Spraying ANYTHING but water on them is adding to the paint - and could be an issue.

Regular make-up is oil based and doesn't dry so bacteria will grow which is why spraying with something is often done to clean it (a pro shouldn't be contaminating their products anyway - they should be removing with a clean tool to a palette for use and sanitizing their applicators.)

Like that...but have found for the uneducated that pass by & grab a card, a "Beautysoclean" spray bottle silently markets me...

I don't know that I would re-order, as it's pricey...and lasts forever....but it hasn't seemed to destroy my paints in any way & keep germophobic mommies happy.

Not an issue for me as I use clean brushes and sponges on every single person. That alone keeps them happy... and me too. No need to spray things when you are using clean itema for each person.

The makeup spray is mainly just for your powder based/non-oil based makeup products and dries very quickly since you're only mistng it on. Any creme based products like lipstick you use the wipes on.

The lady who makes beauty so clean claims she's used the spray product on face paints.

So you have purchased the beauty so clean products as well? You're right about them lasting forever! I bought mine in a bundle at IMATS (makeup trade show) so I got a good deal on the bunch.

I totally agree with having a product like that out on your table it does keep people happy to see especially the germaphobe moms!

I don't use anything but water on my paints. But, I do keep brush bath on my table and keep a second cup of water to rinse my brushes in it. Then I use pink soap on the brushes themselves when I get home to super cleanse them.
