One stroke help please.
I was hoping to get some input on how to use the one strokes. I signed up for FABA tv with silly farm and watched Donna Dewberry. No help there. I was wondering if there is a special technique I am missing. When I see one stroke designs from Rebecca I notice beautiful lines and amazing color. When I do it it looks sloppy and all mixed up. I don't know if I am overloading or under-loading. Any suggestions would be helpful. thanks.

Re: One stroke help please.
I would recommend checking out YouTube videos, there are a bunch out there that use one strokes, here's one that's close up and shows how to load your brush- (it's not my video, it's from tagbodyart)
I will say it takes a bit of practice before you get the hang of it, you need to be mindful of which way you turn your brush to keep the colors from getting muddled. You can tell if your brush is too dry if it the bristles start splitting apart.
To load my brush with paint I dip my brush in the water and give a quick "wipe" against the edge of my water container once on each side so it's not too wet before I start loading it with paint.I go back and forth keeping the colors matching on both sides, maybe 8-10 times till it's fully loaded. When I need to reload it I wipe my brush on a baby wipe a little to clean off the muddled paint, dip just the very tip of the brush in water and reload making sure to keep the same colors on the same side of the brush.

Thanks so much. I just realized that I didn't wipe between loads... causes muddling. The videos are super helpful especially the strokes one. Thanks again.

Re: One stroke help please.
too much water is usually the problem
i also have a few u tubes out there
and, i will be filming fabatv soon
if you do muddy your cake/colors, rinse out your brush and start fresh.
if your brush splits, it means...not enough water, or...not enough make up
it's really something that you will get a "feel" for
good luck!
please feel free to call me anytime with questions!
people do it all the time;)

Re: One stroke help please.
Thanks for the video link, when my paints became to wet I used to wipe them with a sponge now I will have to try the video method. and never thought to spritz the brush.I just started again fresh. now I can't help but think of the paint I have wasted. I can't belive the amount of you tube I have watched and missed this.
Thank you for the share on the video, and the Beautiful pictures too.
