Had a great festival today!

I had my second PPF event today. It took me way to long to get set up, buy one I did I was hoppin! I ran a minimum of 20 minute wait all day long (9-2). I averaged 8-9 kids an hour. Not fast enough yet, but I'm happy with it for today. I love my job.

8 to 9 an hour is good anytime...I look at facepainter saying the average is 8 to 10...I think you are in there...great job!...

What a great day, its great to get paid for what you love.

My favorite kid of the day:

"Umm, so what can you do?". As she is sitting next to my board with exactly 40 pictures on it. I am sure I looked like a cartoon looking back and forth between her and my board. "There are all kinds of choices on there" with a smile of course. And she said, " oh, I know. But what ELSE can you do?". Hahahaha! "nothing. Today I am only working from my board. What would you like sweetheart?". (thinking of you Perry).

And yes, I went to my second paid event with 40 faces. Heeheehee! I tried to simplify the choices. But I just could not bring myself to take down any of THESE. They are my favorites.

My other favorite was the mom who said her younger daughter ALWAYS has a reaction when she gets her face painted. And the school nurse behind her saying, yes I see lots horrible cases the next day after an event like this. So I said, "Well I ONLY use pro grade paint for that very reason! How about I put a little swipe on her arm? If she doesn't have an issue while you are here, come back and see me before you leave. I would love to paint her face and I bet she doesn't have a reaction to MY paints". Guess what...she got a beautiful butterfly! There aren't any other real face painters up there at all. Everyone is used to getting acrylic paint. I had no fear that this kid would be allergic to my paradise paint. Especially since we put a glitter tattoo on her 20 minutes before and no hives yet. I gave out a lot of business cards.
