FPBA 2012 Convention in Vegas`

wow a scholarship? Congratulations!

How do you go about applying for one for this, if you don't mind me asking?

I'd love to attend a training, but my finances just aren't there.

it is under the convention website, but they closed as of jan 1st. All scholarships have been awarded. I applied back in october. Next year you should be able to apply earlier. Hopefully magic funds show up for you, I hope to see lots of people from the forum there.

You can apply for the scholarships if you have not attended this convention before....I think is what is says..

Im still working on my husband..the flights out of our area are so spendy..

last I looked you could sign up to be a volunteer ( 15 hours) you get $200 reg instead of $350 .

Yup!! It's true! I was asked yesterday to teach and I bought my plane ticket on the spot! I was scared if I thought about it, the sky may fall so I plunged in! I will be teaching and wandering and if I'm lucky, some peeps will take the after course on the 15th for the 6 hour intensive henna course before I head home!!

I AM SO EXCITED! 2 conventions this year = growth in painting skills!!! This is so going to be a banner year! I have everyone to thank and don't even know where to start! I feel like a little kid bouncing up and down and 'sqeeee'!!! LOL

Anyone up for hot crab legs with drawn butter on the 13th? I'm heading out for dinner at Mandalay bay on that night and would love the company of fellow foodies!!!!!

wow great news Kim..now I know I wish i could go again...last year was so much fun..and my roomie from last year wanted to room with me again..bummer..I would so love to meet you and take some of your classes..maybe next time..but who knows

*sob* I guess I'm out. DH took a contract in NY for the next 10 weeks. So while we have the funds, I no longer have some one to watch the kids. I'm really broken hearted.

Oh, don't think I hadn't thought of that. And don't think the kids wouldn't just LOVE it. But he'll be, you know, WORKING. At an office. Staying at a corporate hotel room, with another contractor. I've also thought maybe I could divide and conquer, have that kid with that family and the other kids with another family. But 4 days is a long time for little kids to be with out their mommy AND daddy.
Don't think I haven't tried to figure something. I've tried really hard.

I was thinking about waiting and going to Fabic but I dont like the "tracke" that they are doing this year. I want to be able to mix it up

@sweethavenarts - My mom and dad LOVED las vegas and went every 3 years, and left me at home......didn't hurt me none! AND I knew they would bring me back something cool. Don't underestimate how durable your kids are and it's actually good for thier self esteem. You left, they survived and did great like big kids or almost grownups even, and you came back!

NOT saying that you should...afterall, you know your kids better than anyone on a computer screen......but just saying it didn't hurt me!! I barely remember them leaving. Why do I remember?? Cool doll and when I was older, some cool clothes. LOL Maybe the kids would love it!!!
