This is absolutely sickening!

Did you know that over 23,000 dolphins are brutally and inhumanely slaughtered EVERY YEAR in Japan?
I feel disgusted. Sick to my stomach.

Thank you, and I'm so sorry if this topic upsets anyone, I'm just so upset about it myself I wanted to tell the world this is happening. The next slaughter begins September 1st.

The slaughter of any animal is sad. I grew up on a working farm and saw the animals I had raised from babies being killed and dressed for us to eat. If that doesn't make someone a vegetarian, nothing will. Fortunately, my mom was kind hearted and did not make me eat them.

23,000 dolphins is only a drop in the bucket compared to the number of other animals killed each year. I imagine cattle runs into the millions and millions. Dolphins however are very intelligent creatures which makes this especially sad. Did you know many people in Asian countries actually eat animals while they are still alive?

I have known about it for awhile. I remeber about a year ago at the last slaughter all theses actors and surfers and famous people went out on boards to stop them.... they failed.
I started to watch last night but stopped as I had seen it before and couldn't take it.... I can't stand watching it - so how in the hell do humans actually do it?
Makes me ashamed to be human ;(

I think I am going to pass on watching it. This kind of stuff makes me sad for dayssssss.... I saw a video about baby chicks... They were sent down conveyor belts.... sexed to see if it was a m or f... if it was a male they were thrown into an electric grinder because they weren't needed.... The females beaks were ground down on a belt sander so that they wouldnt peck each other to death when stuffed into a huge cardboard box Made me so sad... I also saw faces of death the movie when I was a teen and these people were bringing live monkeys to the table and eating their brains....blech. These images just never leave my head. Which is why I will not watch the video... I hope all awful things stop though

I watched a doco on dogs in... I think it was Korea. Dog meat is a widely eaten and steeped in tradition and superstition. They keep dogs in small cages and cart them around like we do with pigs and chickens. They hang the live dogs up by the neck, beat them with sticks to tenderise the meat, and skin them ALIVE. They're then left hanging, whimpering and bleeding until they die of shock and blood loss.

Speaking of pigs, did y'all know pigs as intelligent and aware as 3 year old children?

I'm not vegetarian, so I'm not opposed to farming meat as long as efforts are made to make sure every one is killed without suffering. I only eat free range and organic meat though. I guess it makes no difference to anyone who believes eating any meat is wrong but that's how I live with my conscience.

I feel any animal, intelligent or otherwise, should be treated with respect in their life and in their death. Cruelty is an abonination. A black smear on the human race.

And dont get me started on the vile and disgusting ways CHILDREN are treated across the world! I dont have enough words or nearly enough tears. I'm just thankful that God is their avenger and He will recompense.

I'm sorry for the rant. Obviously I'm not the only one here who feels passionately about the welfare of God's creatures and I take comfort in that. Thanks for letting me vent!

I signed the petition, but didn;t watch the movie..I can only imagine what it looks like and also just reading about those dogs made me feel ill to my stomache...yuck!

I can't even read this post without getting angry and depressed. The things humans are capable of. Such beauty and on the other side, such cruelty. I recall seeing a video of a similar event somewhere in the arctic, I think. The vision returns to me now and I just feel so sad.
