Mica Tattoos
Ok silly question,
I use mica powders with my face painting, but what are Mica Tattoos? Do you just apply them like glitter tattoos, and just use the mica powder instead of the glitter?

Re: Mica Tattoos
Yep! They work especially great for those who don't like the glitter. If you use the blue black mica for tribals it really looks pretty real and adults, boys and teen girls love it. The look of tattoo without the pain!!! Several of my mom friends loved theirs.
Re: Mica Tattoos
WyndyO,
I bet that color looks GREAT for Tribals!!!
Where do you get the blue-black mica powder?
I have a blue mica powder & I have flat black mica powder, do you mix them or can you buy them somewhere?
Thanks, Linda

Re: Mica Tattoos
Yes.
You can "tint" your glue with a bit of face powder or a touch of paint...
The only black adhesive I know of is black coloured liquid latex and Duo dark eyelash adhesive.

Re: Mica Tattoos
Ok I re-read about the Mica tats, it was the black mica, they were talking about. so I played around with it today. I do have to say that they do almost look real, and I thought it was alot eaiser than glitter, I just used my glittler tattoo glue/stencil and applied the black mica powder, I also applied tattoo extender from Olive Branch to make it water proof. I took a picture, I will have to download it today to show ya.

Re: Mica Tattoos
I saw a lady doing mica tattoos at an event and she actually just used tattoo ink of some kind, no glue at all.

Yup, that works too. The inks are tacky and usually I would rub a little baby powder in, but rubbing in the powder works too.
