off and running :) pic heavy

ok so i have been hobby painting with a few gigs inbetween for a couple years now and have just been trying to work up the courage to go public and pro. so yesterday i painted my nieces 5th b,day at mc donalds and was a huge hit(yay). i got 3 bookings from the impressed mums and dads there then when i got home and uploaded my stuff to face book i got another one so 4 bookings all within 2 months. i am sooooo excited i finally get to do a job i luv without giving up too much time with my family i just hope the ball keeps rolling!

aww thx Tash. yeah a jam would have been great. i live in a country town and all the bookings are for near the city which is over an hours drive for me, but near my twin sisters so gives me a chance to visit. my area just doesn't get that many party's
the sea horse is an inspired design though i wish i knew who the original painter was to give credit. also spiders are from TAG just luv them plus i add googly eye's. the little boy kept shaking his head to make them wobble too cute lol.

Oh Synni your work is just wonderful! I'm also not surprised that you got so many bookings after people saw your talent and creativity! Love your pretty butterflies, fun spiders, gorgeous little butterfly eyes on the mamas, and that seahorse is one of the most adorable things ever! I'm going to put it in my inspiration file if you don't mind and if either of us find out who the original artist is we can share! Congrats on a wonderful official start, I am sure you will be one busy mama!

i think the sea horse is from the snazaroo site, god i wish i knew who did it 1st. i remember seeing a hot pink and orange one. will look on my comp when i get home as i am still at my sis's house.

That is wonderful Synni. I am hoping I get some paid gigs from my Relay for Life event next weekend here in town. This is the one event that I paint that is HUGE for this area and I painted both kids and adults last year. Unfortunately I had poor quality paint and no time to really get ready. Watch out world this year though, as I have had a whole year to get ready!! In an area where people just really CANT pay, and few really can, an event like this can help me showcase my work to the ones that may be able to and get some good word of mouth going.
