40% chance of rain

Ok, so i have one of my biggest events this saturday, and they're predicting sun in the early morning.. then cloudy.. then 40% chance of rain in the evening. I'll be there for set up at 7am.... and am usually there until 11pm ish for tearing down.

i've been so lucky to only run into bad weather once in many years.

For sure i'll be going unless they change the weather report to 'torrential down pour all day' lol

How do you all handle these things? Most folks dont want to be face painting with even a tiny drop of rain because OMG it will wash off!

I had a day like that, It rained in the morning until 2:00 pm, no body went there, some kids that went in the afternoon got FP. So if you are lucky and the rain start at evening you won't have any problem.

Around here 40% chance of rain means it rains 40% of the day...

I paint at festivals in the rain... in pouring rain... and the line just keeps getting bigger... but, it is "FREE" painting as I am always hired.

I would guess if they are PAYING for it the lines would be shorter!

glitter and airbrush tats are big in the rain for us. When I know that rain is forcast, I make a sign that says that the tats are "rain proof and sweat proof" Even if you just have a few glitter tats to offer, they go a long way to offset a weather issue.

On the up side, if you are in a large business tent, when the rain comes, all the people run into the tent, and you may be slammed for a while because there is nothing else to do! I had that happen a couple of weeks ago. Just hope that it stops raining after a few minutes so that they don't all just go home!

I offer glitter tats and advertise that they don't smear or wash off. When it's really hot/ humid or rainy, the glitter tats sell really well.
