I must be crazy!

My calendar is booked like crazy... But this weekend I have 5 events and 4 alone are on Saturday!! Wish me luck!

I'm on the crazy boat with you - I have 5 events this weekend too, but slightly more spaced out - one Friday, 3 Saturday, and one Sunday.

Better than having an empty calendar! Make hay while the sun shines and all that jazz, eh?

4 in one day? Whew! That rocks! I've done 3 in day, one was an hour drive, and I was drained. You'll have to fill us in after the weekend. I'd love to hear your timeline!

I did three hours only painted 30 kids and had to take a nap! WOW! Break a leg! ( Sorry Theatre background coming thru there!)

Hi Suzy, How did you space out the time: Start time for each and travel / set up? 4 seem like a lot.

Baseball tailgate party 3:30 - 6:30
Bachelorette Party 7-8
Islamic Prayer group thingy 9:30 - 11:30

Wow. Thanks I thought they were all birthday parties. Because they all seen to want the same time frame. Guess it a good thing that that all are different events that caters to specific group. I was asking because Im trying to work out a schedule.(when I get busy that is). Thanks for posting your events. I would love to see the pic of the Islamic Prayer group thingy. lol. What would they possibly get ??????? Well Ill wait and see. Thanks again

It's that time of year, yesterday I drove 45 miles and then did a 45 minute clown show for a library grand opening, drove another 70 miles and did a library storytelling gig as myself, donned the clown makeup again for a birthday party with stories, fp and balloons and then drove another 45 miles home! Whew! I'm glad August only comes once a year!

OMG...Was the pay worth it!!!??? Thats alot of driving!

I've done three in one day a couple times... and swear NEVER AGAIN each time.

WOW- that's great! It's just too hot here to do anything... I have no bookings until the middle of Sept because with a 80 degree dewpoint (add 20 degrees on to the actual temp at that dewpoint level- think rainforest) and temps near and over 100 degrees, it's dangerously hot to do anythign right now. Uggh! But I'm getting plenty of gem clusters made up and ready for when the fall season hits

1st party went kind of well. They had everything spread out really far a part in a huge parking lot. A huge family came over and had me work on them and they didn't leave when they were done... just kept getting different things. When there were 15 minutes left I said I would need to get going soon and the crowd kind of left my station. When other families saw that they all started coming over and well... it was time to go and I couldn't paint anyone else.... So that really sucked They were bummed.

2nd party was great. Very nice lady who hired me, force fed me (the food was delish) and the kids were great and polite!

3rd party - Henna and painting naughty things on Bachelorette party was fun... But then I got a text that my buddy/parents dog Layla broke out of the gate and got hit by a bus. Finished up and called my mom after 3rd party to find out what was going on... they seemed to think she had 2 back broken legs. ( my daughter was over there and pretty upset)

4th party - totally unorganized, a clown was there and he was getting grumpy... I kind of understood his frustration... but he showed it a bit more than I think he should have. While he was doing his little magic show I got a call from my daughter screaming that Layla was dead. Right then a kid came to my chair to get painted and I said I have to go hunny I will be over after my party and quickly hung up. THe whole time I was painting I was very quiet and a few times some tears came out. The kids were asking what was wrong and I said my puppy got hit by a bus and the teacher came over and gave me a hug.

BLAH! I have been crying all night!!! I sure wish I could have said goodbye to her.
