A suggestion FB friend requests

Since I've gone over to the dark side and [gasp} set myself up on FB I've been getting lots of friend requests... many from names I don't know. If you are asking to friend me and I haven't accepted you it is because I don't know the name and the photos don't let me know who you are.

Perhaps, like some others do, attach a message to your request with your screen name from the forum, etc.?

Just a thought.

I got nagged into it while in the UK... got me drunk with G&T and Cadburys, fed me bangers and mashed and the next thing I knew I was setting up a business page.

I just got a recommendation that a "Shannon Fennell" might be someone I know... and thought to myself "THAT can't be the real Shannon!" so I raced here, and lo and behold! She has crossed over... wow... Well, welcome to the book of faces!

Funny, I've just joined Google+ and I like it better.

I was also amazed Shannon joined FB, was it something to with Anne nagging at you .

My face isn't on my profile right now because I have a norwegian image as homage to the current tragedy there.

I'm your friend from Mission (Vancouver area) and big fan. You're right though, I should have put a personal message with it. I just got back from vacation and am in stunned mode over the norwegian situation.

You will find I think Shannon - that people will be wanting to friend you because they know about you and admire you - so you will be getting a lot of friend requests from people you don't know.

One of those time it helps to use my real name with these things....
oh and I do have my mug on FB...... atm but that changes.

yeah well.... I'm only putting photos on the business page though. One of the unfortunate side effects of FB is that family I don't want anything to do with are asking to friend me

What is Google+???

Google+ has only just been released and is in trial stages - it is the same thing as FB but supposedly better. It looks much better on the first glance especially for business purposes but I'm waiting to see if it lives up to the hype.
It will be very hard for Google to get everyone over from FB though.

Hello Shannon, I sent you a request on FB, which you did accept thank you. I don't post on here very often. Just haven't learnt how to use the site properly to my shame. However, I am usually on FPC in the uk as 1abfaces. FB does get addictive but I haven't learnt to use it fully. I know some people separate their pages to personal and business. That way they can restrict who has access to what. I use mine to keep in touch with my family. Asha
