New face that I painted tonight

I painted these designs because I wanted to try out the new FAB paint that I got. The base color is Ocean Shimmer, with Wolfe gold in the inner eye corner and Kryolan GB blue on the outer edges. Wolfe white and black on top.

These are so beautiful! I especially love the white/pink one. But my favorite thing may be that the ocean shimmer (especially on the black side) matches your eye color exactly. It even looks like your iris is part of the design. Very very cool!

Wow, I love both of those. I agree with Angie about the eye color thing, it's a really cool effect.

Wow! I suddenly don't like my butterflies so much anymore.

Now tell me how to do those in less then 25minutes, I'm stunned!

How did you get those circles so perfect? Yeah circles, because those cant all be dots.

This whole face took about and hour and 15 minutes all together. So, yea, a really long time. Now, you have to understand that:
-I did this without my glasses and I'm BLIND without them.. so it took forever to see in the mirror, and then my brush kept hitting the mirror... oh so annoying!
-I did these off the cuff, so there was no plan at all and each move was decided as I went.
-It's on ME, so of course it took forever! lol... I can't help it, It just takes me a long time to paint myself most of the time.. mostly because I'm blind and super paticular.

This design would have gone a lot faster if I were painting on someone else.

The circles and shapes are all just draw with black.. like a C shape, first one half and then the other. All of the dark gold circles are just dots painted on, so those were a quick last decision.

Three things: 1. Georgeous! Seriously and amazingly georgeous. 2. I feel so much better about my own work now that you admit this took you a while! I never considered that all of the artists I admire so much actually take the time to squint in the mirror just like me. I guess I always just assumed that you were such a natural tallent that you could just sort of whip out these masterpieces- whew! And 3. I am working with a handicap with these yucky brown eyes of mine! Stupid genetics.

I agree, very inspiring! It is amazing how different the two base colors look with the black verses white. Love it!!
