Would you paint your own baby?

I am wanting to paint wings on my 3 kids they are 4 2 and 9 weeks and then do their pictures. Do you think this is a good idea?

I would, but that is me... If it were for a super cool picture!! I wouldn't paint the 9 week old a lot... but I don't see how once could hurt

I'm just itching to paint her. And I thought wings would be so cool.

do you mean on their backs? Maybe you could do the 9 week old when she's asleep if you put her to bed in just a diaper? The others you might need to wait for a really good tv program

I remember a thread about the effect of paint on too young kids. I remember Punky wrote it. She had a very good story about the reasons why you don't want to paint young kids. Don't wanna be the one that ends the fun, but i don't want you to discover after you painted your baby either. Now you can decide yourself.

found it! If you read this thread you will see that many painters do paint younger kids, while others don't. Difficult. I agree that wings would be very beautiful on the kids.

My youngest just turned one and I don't think I would hesitate to give him a little body paint (no face though). But I certainly wouldn't paint any babies other than my own!

I've painted my 17 month old. Just a flower and swirl on her cheek, but she'll sit for it (If I'm fast) I think it would be cool to paint them all

I always thought it would be really sweet to paint a pair of angel wings on a newborn, like those Ann Geddes pictures... Someone on here does AMAZING wings... The girl that came up with the Arty Cakes, her name escapes me

That would be SOO gorgeous on your tiny one...I'm getting geared up to body paint mine too.....I have three boys so they need to be manly designs ... Enjoy you r babes,,, the photo's will be lovely.

I have a 10 month old and I couldn't paint her if I wanted to. Light sleeper and she tries to eat everything. Face painting is a no for me and the wings *sound* cute but I don't think/know if it would work.

Follow you intuition, their your kiddies so really you should be the one to deceide. Personally I would paint little wings on my babies back.

I would just test a small area then if the baby is okay just go for it. Please show some pics if you decide to do it. This would look so adorable

I would paint my own, but that's me. I think it's a risk you have to assess for yourself as the mother.

I painted mine... but she was a poodle. And she wasn't impressed.

If it was me i would paint, but just use pale colours no bright reds, greens or blacks. i think wings would be super cute. a bit anne geddies(sp) style
perhaps you can buy a little halo head band to go with.
