does snaz eat plastic?

does snaz eat plastic containers? are there any that dont react bad to snaz? i just got a few mini snaz kits on clearance and want to put all the same colors in individual containers but i thought i remembered reading snaz eats plastic...is this true?

Yes, Snaz reacts to the hard styrene based plastics (it breaks them down and they fracture), but not to the polypropylene type plastics. It reacts to the plastic that the 18ml paints are packaged in, but that's why they use the plastic base between.

Seriously? I never heard that. I have a snaz pink that I put into a middle sized wolfe fx pot, and never had any trouble. Mind you its sitting in a foam insert in my case and doesn't get knocked around a lot.

Yes, snaz will eventually eat through plastics. That's why it can't be transferred to other containers. This also means that small particles of the plastic will seep into your paints, contaminating them.

I have had it crumble a couple clear plastic containers, but it took a couple months. I have some eyeshadow containers now with a black bottom and they haven't crumbled them.

Oh, that explains the cracked lids! I was going out of my mind, thinking how can i possibly be cracking them all! Im not tossing my extras around in their box!

I had no idea about transferring the snaz colors to other containers. Im starting to like Snaz less and less.
