Just a share - had a clean hand and some time!
I'm at a NO HENNA stage on my left hand ...well almost none, and this is a good time to 'play' in paint! Just thought I would share 4 of my fun doodles. Not sure when spiders started to poop rainbows....but hey...why not??
Re: Just a share - had a clean hand and some time!
Well... If Charlotte could spell, then why not pooping rainbows too?
Excellent stuff as always.

Re: Just a share - had a clean hand and some time!
Thanks guys! I *may* even leave my left arm henna nekkid for a bit so I can paint on it! I have a bridal consult today at 1 so I have to 'behave' but I'm hoping to practice again after that!!
Re: Just a share - had a clean hand and some time!
Love love love that boy fairy! Very cool! Are you looking at something for inspiration, or thinking this stuff up out of the blue? The structure of that fairy is awesome!
Re: Just a share - had a clean hand and some time!
Awesome, I love the farting spider too!
Great work.
Great work.
Re: Just a share - had a clean hand and some time!
The steampunk/goth fairy girl is just my brain, same with the spider, I sometimes roam the internet for inspiration but I got a tattoo reference book recently for a photoshoot I'm going to be doing with some classic 'old skool' Sailor Jerry style tattoos, and it also has some inspiring modern contemporary styles in it as well and although you would barely recognize the fairy or dragon from it, they were inspired from there.Although I put a 'twist' on some things, I'm not sure I have a 'style' yet. Still finding myself. Here is another one inspired by the book, but done 'my way':

Re: Just a share - had a clean hand and some time!
WOW! Do you do lots of drawing on paper?
I think you definitely do have a style, I can be skimming through photos and I know as soon as I see something of yours who it belongs to. I cant quite put my finger on the style, maybe quite detailed with beautiful curls... the henna often comes through in your designs. I think you are your very own style!
ps. I am so glad I wasn't the only one who thought the spider was farting rainbows Its still beautiful though!

Re: Just a share - had a clean hand and some time!
LOL Everyone is so polite! I feel so ...rough around the edges(??) that everyone says 'farts rainbows' WHICH I may add is probably more accurate, and *I* in my crass glory has to label it 'pooping rainbows'! LOL
Again, I can't thank everyone enough for the support!
And to answer Daisy, I actually only draw on paper when I'm doing another book for my publisher!! I find people inspire me the way that canvas, paper and inanimate objects do not. Skin 'calls' to me to make it pretty. I think that part of it is that I get immediate gratification that the person is smiling. When you have an art piece, and it sells, you know someone liked it because you now have $$ to prove it, but you don't share and experience with them. It's too 'passive'. AND I'm a closet horder/pack rat. If I do something I am really proud of, I'm unlikely to relinquish the object or sell it. I can't keep a person!! Well....I guess I COULD, but the law doesn't look kindly on that AND then you have to feed them, clean up after them...don't even THINK about a vacation!
I may be playing today as well if I'm not studying. I've got some biz to catch up on AND two trips this month AND planning for gigs (between the henna and FP I only have 8 days 'off' this month) so my procrastination will play a part.
Work VS Shiny paints 'n play time.....
Sometimes the 6 year old in me wins!

Re: Just a share - had a clean hand and some time!
Annd I have a gig sunday - a Tangled movie day and so I created a little 'quick to do' character based and very close to the little lizard in the movie! I was going to do a closer likeness, but I figured it's faster for me to just make him a bit more 'generic'. Should I strive to make him closer to the film character? But then I may have to also do the whole horse, etc. Slippery slope?
You can tell he was fired out...didn't even mix the black all that well....feathering under his chin!! Dry skin + not mixing enough = runny black that 'leaks'! LOL
