Prayer Request

Hey to all of those who pray--we're really needed prayer support right now. You all (or most of you) know that I'm a photographer, and haven't been able to set up a studio since we moved back to Indiana because of finances and lack of space. So, I was working at STeak & Shake here until about a month ago after I quit after being harrassed so much by the younger kids there. It was a nightmare!
Needless to say, I thought I had a job with the Foreign Exchange Program here, but they called and said to be coordinator, you have to make a certain amount of money per year, because you may have to house a student on short-term. And without a job, that can't happen. SO about a month ago I applied at Prestige POrtraits. They interviewed me, were happy with my skills and management abilities, and called me back for a second interview for a studio manager. WELL__it's been another week--and although I will be working for them in one capacity or another, I just don't think they realize, we have NO income right now at all! I'm trying to face paint as much as I can to bring in gas money at least, and have a big gig on Saturday all day-hopefully it will be enough to pay our rent. But, in the mean time, I wait for this studio to make up their minds as to what they're wanting me to do! IT'S SOOOO FRUSTRATING!!! Why would someone take over a month to hire someone??? MEN!
Argh! So, I'm asking for prayer for our family to get through this rough bump in the road, and that I'll make enough this next week for the rent. I'm trusting God to meet our needs, but it's hard when you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel ya know? I appreciate you all SOOO much, and this is my support group in life. You've all been so supportive and loving, and I can't thank you all enough.

My prayers are with you Darlene. It sounds like a really tough spot, but those are the times when we lean most on God, as he wants us to do, so it is a blessing in disguise! I'm praying for this hiring process to HURRY, and for you to be provided for until then, and have all of your needs met. (((HUGS)))

The Word says that in ALL things and Through ALL things we are to give PRAISE and Thanks unto the Lord. Now I know some that would question why would you give thanks what is there to be thankful for in this situation, and that it because we look at things with a worldly eye and we heed to look spiritually. GOD didn't say we wouldn't go through rough times...he just promised that HE would be there for us in the midst of them. Cast your cares upon HIM that careth for you. Call things to be not as they were. Stand on the promises of GOD. He wants you to call Him on His word, for the word clearly states that We have not because We ask not. Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven and all other things shall be added unto you. He wants you to take Him at his word because in doing so HE shall be lifted up and Glorified for turning your circumstance into a testimony.

The prayers of the righteous availeth much, and I pray that your family remains strengthened......for this too shall pass

Wow,,Changing, you nailed it..Sending up big prayers right now. to provide your families every need!..cant wait to hear what God has in store for you. Always something good..

I will also be praying for you. I know how horrible it feels to be there, we were a little over a year ago. Keep your faith. I look back now and could easily say..How did my bills get paid for that year, with no income, how did we eat? But I know, through the grace and mercy of God.

Matthew 6:25-34
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. I kept these very close when we were both jobless, my husband found a job delivering pizza's, make 150 a week. Which didn't even cover gas and food. I gave all those worries to God. He gave my husband a job, and promoted him, he delivered my marriage, he delivered us from smoking, and through the rough, we never starved.

My heart goes out to you, I will keep you in my prayers.

No problem Jody, I will continue to keep your family in our prayers. Keep the woman who face paints with me in yours, her family was in a serious accident, they are doing good, but will need prayers.

Hang in there! Praying for you too! God has forever been a wealth of suprises in the midst of trouble for us and I firmly believe that He will see you right if you stand firm in your faith. I can testify that personally and I know where your at right now because my husband and I regularly are put in situations finacially such as yours.

Thank you all so much for your support. I had a REALLY bad day today--I was supposed to Paint at a flea market in South Bend (3 hours north of me-my family lives there) and I only painted ONE face!! we packed up early bcause it was SO cold and windy and no one showed up. It was very disappointing!!! I had to put a napkin over the gas gague and PRAY all the way home so I wouldn't run out of gas--I put my last $11 in the tank and drove another 1 1/2 hours home. JUST glided into the driveway!. I know God is faithful, but it's SO hard to see it when you have nothing but change left! STill haven't heard anything from the Portrait Studio--it doesn't surprise me, bcuz they took 3 weeks to call me back for the 2nd interview. Just resting, trusting, and biting the bullet!
