floating on air!!!

omg! I am so excited and just had to tell someone, well not just anyone, lets face it most people think I'm nuts with this 'face painting stuff" lol but i knew you'd all understand... lol
ok so this week i decided to go all out, that I was going to paint my face every single time i left the house for any reason and I did. WOW! Did things happen! we are going to be painting for kids night at ponderosa and are in the works to facepaint at buffalo wild wings, plus went to karoke last night with a bunch of girls( i was painted lol) and the manager came over to ask me about it which began a long conversation about painting in his restaurant too! i even convinced him that a kids night was a good idea lol ( i knew all the kids nights for every restaurant in town their prices etc) it was funny...
we also got in to paint at taste of the town, a huge event here that draws alot of people and there is tons of media coverage, news, paper,radio etc... so praying a cool designs makes it to one of those forums!
I got the idea to go to the restaurants from a post on here so THANK YOU. I do have to say though that going in painted made the biggest difference of all! the support on here is amazing and really made the difference in how i feel about what i do, about myself, thanks everyone! i posted up some new pics of designs i went painted as all week, but still dont know how to load them here so they are in my gallery
i even painted my hubby up as a cow one day lol trying to get the business of the local petting farms etc lol hes such a great sport whew!! i feel better... thought i was going to explode if i didnt share lol

So cool! That means you are steady booked three nights a week and still have weekends?!! I'm squeeling for you! I don't know about the rest of you, but I always feel so much more confident with paint on my face. Wish I could go to all my interviews like that!

my hubby told me last week that i need to get a part time job and i didnt want to work some minimum wage jobs for hours at night while our kids sleep, so.... figured i had to push the business even harder. but it was from the help and advice on here that i got the ideas. sophie i paint my face to go grocery shopping! i even go to church painted if we have a gig booked right after lol

I love hearing that!! Everytime I practice on my arm and go out it is the BEST advertising ever. I'm so happy to hear that you've had great success. I wish we had a restaurant in our town!! Very small here so I have to really shake things up. If I paint my face everyday I'll just get nicknamed the Kawerau Lady Gaga..lol

I have been working over the kids at my children's daycare by sending in special request balloon animals and things for a few of them. I walked in one day with my youngest who was out of daycare for two weeks because of having his tonsils removed. Well I had been practicing a spiderman balloon and he wanted to carry it in with him as we picked up my older son and two of the kids there said they wanted one so I sent one for each of them in the following day. Then yesterday as I was picking the boys up one of the other children there asked me if I was the one who could do balloons and then he requesting one which I sent in this morning! Hopefully when their b-days come around they may talk their parents into hiring me for their parties!
But I will have to start advertising my face painting like you did!

I love going out face painted. I've gotten restaurant work that way. I always try to stop at a potential restaurant after a birthday party & drop off my card... but my face is always the clincher!

I have only gone inside businesses painted on my way to or from a gig, and I usually forget it's there until I see people staring. Never thought to do it intentionally....maybe I'll muster up the spirit to do it too! Good for you!
