Tiger strips

Can someone PLEASE tell me how to make tiger strips and what brush to use? After trying a few times...I've realized it looks much easier than it is.

When I make tiger stipes, I use a round brush in what ever size will produce the right size of stripe for the design. Usually a #4 or #6. I actually do 3 motions at once when I make tiger stripes.

1) pulling the brush across the skin
2) twirling it from side to side in my fingers
3) changing pressure. I use light pressure at the start then towards the middle I press a little harder to get a nice fat center of the stripe, then at the end I let off so I get a nice tapered point at the end.

Once the line itself is done I usually go back and add some white dots just as accents.

For the actual tiger face, it is important to try to follow the curves of the face itself so the design flows better. Hope this helps!

I do mine like Shannon. Start with sharp edge on brush. Make a "cut", press down harder in the center for a fat middle, then let up at the end. Change directions in the thick part of the stripe as desired. Practice practice practice.

You'll find they all use the thin-thick-thin (light pressure-press & wiggle-light again or "flick".)

I like to use a #8 round brush, that way three stripes looks like something

I like to do the same thing,but I also like to twirl my brush while painting the lines(it makes for some interesting patterns).
