Beginner...Look what I did :)
Hey everyone,
I am new to henna. Have only been doing it for about two weeks now. Still have a lot to learn but I am pretty proud of how fast I am picking it up. Here is a quick design I did on my hand this afternoon. I will make sure and post a pic of how it looks after it peels. Hope you all like it. And if there is any advice on how I can make this design better, i would love to hear them! Enjoy

You should metina, it is so relaxing and fun, easy and cheap to make, I am in love with henna.

Great job! You really are doing better than some who have been at it WAY longer! Keep up the good work! Here are some free patterns to give a go if you like:

Most of these are simple to intermediate. I'm sure you could handle them, no problem!!

Holy Moly! Those are considered simple? I now have confirmation as to why I have never taken to henna.

Kim, I just looked at your free patterns and they are wonderful. I did not know where I got it, but I painted the flower and butterfly with my neons and did the linework. It was my avatar. I didn't know it was yours, and I have since deleted it. I think some of the henna patterns are pretty with color as well as straight henna.

I have a henna kit, but have yet to crack it open. How long does henna paste last once it has been mixed? I mean is it one of those use it or lose it type deals, or will it keep for a while to be used again.
Re: Beginner...Look what I did :)
Depends on where you keep it. Here in Washington it will last a few days out on a counter, a couple weeks in the fridge and several months in the freezer. I use mine before it goes bad so I would say at least 6 months.
