I know I haven't been a member or posting long but wanted to let you know my Mom had a stroke before the Holidays and is on the mend now and I have been having full blown face paint forum withdrawals, she is doing much better, I am back to work so hopefully I can get back in here and participate more. (Yikes, my life may settle down to a chaotic normal even...) I so hope everyone had a good Christmas and a wonderful New Year, may 2011 be the best yet! Very Happy

Sorry to hear about your mom... hope she has a full recovery! We've all been seriously ill since Christmas, so I can relate to the "when is life going to get back to normal??" feeling! Welcome back!

My mom had a stroke a year ago this coming weekend. So I know exactly what it is like!!

Is your mom still in hospital or was it a "minor" stroke? My mom was in hospital for three months and I was there everyday...

Shannon it was a minor stroke, it affected only her speech...none of her limbs were affected, yikes though..... it is very time consuming to get her a companion, visting nurse, home health nurse, speech therapist and co ordinate all those things, she is coming along quite well, well enuff to start fussing about how much some of this costs!!! LOL
