New to the site and to face painting
Hello!
I am Kathy, and live in East TN.
I am relatively new to face painting. I have helped others who face paint in the past (at various events), and have found that I really enjoy it.
I am now at the point of investing in quality supplies & paint for myself, and committing myself to hours of trial and error!
I have spent endless hours reading various sites, admiring the talented FP artists & their artwork, watching hundreds of videos, and now am trying to decide on what books/literature to buy.
I have always enjoyed some form of painting - and hope that my background will give me some small measure of help in learning FP techniques.
It's been wonderful to visit this site and read all of your posts! How incredibly talented you all are!
Thanks!
Kathy

Hiya Kathy! Boy, do I remember that initial investment and how it stings. All is soothed when your paints arrive though! Welcome.
Re: New to the site and to face painting
Thanks, everyone!
I have been reading past posts these last few days. I just spent ... ahem.... many hours reading the TAG posts. Incredible!!!!
Since it's a costly endeavor, I'm trying to read up on the various types of paints/etc. before investing. I hope to be able to purchase SOON as I'm so inspired by all the wonderful artists here!
I'm addicted... *LOL*
I wouldn't have thought that I'd be ready to paint so soon after having just finished a huge scenery project for the school play... but, I am!
Thanks again.
This seems to be a wonderful site filled with caring and supportive people.

Welcome Kathy - I'm still investing in my initial kit - a little here and a little there. The forum has helped me from making what I'm sure would have been a lot of costly mistakes. Best to you and look forward to your posts!
