I've been painting for about 2 years so I understand your question.

At first I didn't want to have anything to do with entertainment agencies in my area, but it turns out that they have very high profile jobs and I just have to show up and paint.

I suggest looking around for the most expensive agency in your area and then trying to find a an "in".

My "in" was a recommendation from another artist friend. That got me an interview and 3 jobs in December. I had not had a December job on my own in my 2 years so I was satisfied.

Obviously you have to weigh the pros and cons of working for an agency in your area but they have been good here.

Michelle... what kind of agency are you talking about? Like an ad agency, or some kind of special entertainers agency? I would like to look into this, but I'm not sure what to search for.

Hey Amanda,

An entertainment agency They should have balloon twisters, henna peeps, dancers, actors and other entertainers available on their website.

The agency here charges more than the regular individual rates per painter but I only get to keep about half. My pay winds up being $25 less per hour than the usual rate up here. It is worth my time during the slow season and I don't have to spend time fiddling about the details with customers.

For the address on Google map I put the nearest main street with out the address number. Im weirded out about listing my address as well.
