A new side job.......

Been tinkering around with painting simple murals. A good friend of mine contacted me and wanted a Paris theme for her girls' bedroom. Here is the result. Took me longer than I expected and the eifel tower wore down my perfectionism. lol!

I had asked the girls if they wanted a poodle on there and they stated "no, we like OUR dog just fine." Lol! and... I was told please, not too much pink. So I snuck (sneak , snuck snook) some pink with the purse by the chair and the flowers in the topiaries.

Reminds me a bit of an old pink panther cartoon! Whimsical and lovely.

I have to do a little more research about fees, but what I have come across the most is charging per square foot.

After the new year I have a two seperate meetings with former muralists. They have agreed to chat with me and one is considering mentoring. Which would be great. It would be nice to get some inside tips/ help that one cannot find through research. I know that I could gain alot of knowledge from these women besides "winging it" it so much. I do not have any formal art training. Most of the creative things I do just come from watching, listening and lots of reading and then I try it.

So we will see what the new year brings.

I think it's great! My sisters do painted murals but I have never been involved in their work, and they have never done any face painting. You should definitely be able to market that because you are very talented with it.
