Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!
I know some of you don't celebrate Thanksgiving ....even though I think its a great tradition to start even thought its a US Holiday. I believe most people enjoy because its really now more about basically being be thankful for what you have and who you have in your life... And couldn't we all use a day to do that... plus you get to scarf down some great food with your family.
Please be safe and enjoy your holiday.
So Happy Turkey Day folks....gobble gobble.

Happy Thanksgiving. I did that to my dachsund one day. He went around with neon rainbow on his forehead. He just acted like he wondered why we were laughing everytime we looked at him.

Happy Thanksgiving! I can't wait to eat that turkey and cornbread dressing! Hmmm. Now wondering if I can paint my Bernese Mountain Dog. I think my hubby would not be happy with me.
Re: Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!
Oscar doesn't seem to mine LOL he walked around for better part of a day like that. He is my goofy boy anyway so it was right up his alley.

Happy Thanksgiving all! My over has been going since 8am!
I've wanted to paint my Shepard, but she won't sit still for it. The snaz page has a painted pet page that's pretty funny. Shannon painted her dog on it

This year for Thanksgiving my house will be so full there will be people bunking on the living room floor.
.......but it’s not what you’d think.
Turn back the clock 2 years…..
My twin daughters and I were in New York City with their high school marching band. They had been chosen to march in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It was their senior year and a trip of a lifetime for a lot of the kids who marched that day.
Here are links to some more photos:

https://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2010853&id=1514544548
Fast forward to the present….
The girls wanted to invite 6 of their friends who have come back home from
college for the holiday to spend the night tonight and get up tomorrow morning and watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade…..together again.
Um…how could I say no?
(and they are all going home after the parade! ; )
At least they don’t have to get up at 1:00 AM this time…and yes, they had to get up that early rehearse for their TV spot in front of Macy’s at 3:00 AM. Trust me when I say getting 215 + teenagers in uniforms that early in the morning was a TASK!!!
And yes, there’s even a You Tube of that:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keTph6jvgwU&feature=related
The photos I attached are of the band coming down Central Park West,
My daughter Robin on the flute
(she is the farthest away next to the guard rail)
and my other daugther Diana on bass clarinet
Trivia*…they were the last high school band to march the old Macy’s parade route
and end up in front of Macy’s at Herald Square. The parade route has since been
changed.
I hope everyone has a Wonderful Thanksgiving!~
Hugs to all!
Linda

Linda I have had that same experience. In 2003 my twin niece and nephew from Jones High in Florida got to march in the Macy's Parade. Me along with my 3 brothers 3 sisters all of whom reside in Florida all went.
My nephew Alex was on the drumline and my niece Alexia was the head majorette. Alex even had a mild asthma attack during the parade because he was sooooooooo excited. My sister Susan (their mom) and I had to walk the entire parade carrying water for him and his inhaler. He refused to step out of the line determined to make it to the end.
What a totally awesommmmmmmeeeee time I will never forget

Re: Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!
I wouldn't normally be up this late, but I have to bake 3 loaves of fresh bread for tomorrow. sheeeeeshhhhh what happened to instant brown and serve dinner rolls
Got one in the bread machine only 2 more to go.....that's what I get for saying "oh wouldn't it be nice if we had homemade bread to go with dinner"
thinking in my head I would go to one of those specialty markets and buy some, but nooooooooooooooo my mom volunteers me since I have a bread machine sighhhhh

Re: Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!
Happy Thanksgiving! We are at my sister in law's house in Fresno. I was up at 1:00 AM making Christmas Crack. My husband's aunt and cousin are in town for Thanksgiving and my mother-in-law's memorial (it was on Monday) from Georgia and Maine. So, I figured I'd introduce them to the addiction known as Christmas Crack.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!
Christmas Crack
• 1 cup (packed) brown sugar
• 1 cup (two 4 oz. sticks) salted butter
• about one sleeve saltine crackers
• 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips (I use about 1.25-1.5 bags)
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar with the butter and bring it to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes, then remove from the stovetop.
Cover a 10x15“ or 11x17” jelly roll pan (cookie sheet with sides) with parchment paper.
Cover the parchment paper with one layer of saltine crackers.
Pour the butter/brown sugar mix over the crackers, making sure they are all saturated.
Put pan in the oven for 5 minutes.
Take pan out and sprinkle chocolate chips over the crackers. Put them pan back into the oven for a minute or two, just until the chips become shiny. Pull it out and spread the chips with a spatula to cover all the entire pan.
Refrigerate until firm (an hour will do).
Remove the pan from the fridge and peel off the parchment paper. Break it up into pieces, (like peanut brittle) whatever size you’d like.
Oh, and we call it "Christmas Crackle" around the kids.
