The YUDU machine, anyone have one?
Hey folks,
I am debating on getting one of these because I'm always up for new creative outlets.

Does anyone have one of these? If so what are your thoughts??
Should I put it on my Christmas list?
It looks really cool and I can see having fun with it.

HAHA Suzy, I was thinking the same thing but the end result is so cool..I saw a presentation of it on HSN and they made it looking like something you can't live without, of course...I didnt see all that scrubbing and sponging on air. The final product looks so neat and crisp, I hope someone who has one chimes in with their opinion.

it looks cool, but man, it takes so long, is so fussy and would do my nut having to keep swapping and changing stuff!
Re: The YUDU machine, anyone have one?
The video took to long I got bored with it so didn't see it to the finish.

Re: The YUDU machine, anyone have one?
I loved doing silk screening when I was in high school & have looked at these also. My bet is I'd use it once or twice & then my kids would become it's owner
Re: The YUDU machine, anyone have one?
I do this every day at work, although we screen print signs, not T-shirts.
She makes it look so easy with that machine! HA!~
The ink smells really bad though....does anyone know if the ink for textiles smells as bad as the ones we use for coroplast?

Re: The YUDU machine, anyone have one?
You are right Linda, she makes it look pretty darn easy - I saw a great presentation of the machine on HSN and the lady demo'ing it on air did a much better job with it.
It looks really cool...but I just don't know how much I'd actually use it.
I'm going to make a cricut post now and see if I can get some 411 on that topic.

Re: The YUDU machine, anyone have one?
For those of you in Canada and the US, I have a YUDU, brand new, sealed in the box. I bought it on a whim, planning on doing t shirts for a last minute event...but then never ended up having the time. When I went to return it, I had lost the receipt. So...I guess I should post this in the for sale section...but if anyone wants it, I'd let it go for $150 +shipping. (also willing to trade...stuff?)

Re: The YUDU machine, anyone have one?
I have one. The idea is awesome, the screens are AWFUL.
It's a screen printer. You use a photo (ie light) reactive emulsion to make a print. It's nice that it has drying racks and the light built in. But it's not set up to do more than one color really well (oh I've tried). And the screens are really loose so they can move as you pull your paint across and distort your image. Lost a couple of tees to that.
Now you can buy better screens. You can also buy other brands of the emulsion (WAYY cheaper) and other inks (wayy cheaper).
So if you can find one for cheap, yea go for it. Don't pay full price for one and don't think it's a miracle tool. I found mine on craigs list and paid about half price for a kit. It's been fun to make a few custom tees.
And no, it's not fast. Lots of steps. Lots of drying. Lots of waiting.

BIG YUDU PROBLEM...can someone please HELP:(
I misplaced the power cord of my yudu machine and I kept on looking everywhere but it's nowhere to be found. I saw a lot of power cords here in our house but I DON'T KNOW which one is THE YUDU POWER CORD. Can someone send me a picture of it? PLEASET_T My aunt bought it for me and i'm so dead if I lost it.

Re: The YUDU machine, anyone have one?
I'll have you know it's significantly harder to take a picture of the back of the machine than the cable.
